INTERVIEW 2022.1.18

Interview with Yasuki KIMOTO

Q, the morning practice on the first day of camp has finished. How do you feel about it?
A, I think everyone has been highly motivated from the first day, and we have been able to practice with a strong enthusiasm for the season.

Q, were you feeling nervous?
A, no, there was laughter even within a moderate sense of tension, and although we enjoyed it a little, the coach is someone who makes sure to do what needs to be done properly, so I think we were able to handle those parts well.

Q. How would you describe the atmosphere among the players, including yourself?
A, due to my personality, I don't feel like I can fit in immediately, so I haven't fully integrated yet, but I hope to gradually be able to talk with everyone.

Q. How would you like to be called by fans and supporters?
A, everyone calls me "Yasu," but "Kimoto" is fine too, something like that (laughs)

Q. There was a meeting before practice; please tell us your impression of the coach.
A, while joking around, gives the impression of getting things done when it matters. The training routines are well established, making it easy to follow.

Q. I felt that today's practice also had distinctive features such as speed and tempo.
A, since he is a coach with experience in various teams, he demands a high level even in practice, and in that sense, I strongly feel that we can grow.

Q. Please tell us the play style you want to show this season.
A, as expected, valuing possession of the ball is a characteristic of the team, and building up play from the back is also one of my strengths. It is an area I want to continue improving, so I hope you will watch closely.

Q: Please tell us your goals for the Kunigami camp.
First, I want to firmly grasp the concept the coach demands and the flow of practice, and also focus on communicating well beyond just soccer so that people can get to know me.
