We are pleased to announce that on November 22 (Sunday), 2015, before the kickoff of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League 2nd Stage Sec. 17 match against Sagan Tosu, our special guest will be Mr. Amaral, a former FC Tokyo player beloved by fans and supporters under the nickname "King of Tokyo."
In this match, which marks FC Tokyo's first-ever advancement to the championship in the club's history, we will receive an encouraging message for the players and fans from Amaral, affectionately known as the "King of Tokyo," who has been loved by fans and supporters and has shaped the early history of FC Tokyo. 【Amaral Biography】
Born on October 16, 1966, in São Paulo, Brazil, he is a former professional soccer player. After playing for a professional club in Brazil, he transferred to the Tokyo Gas Soccer Club (now FC Tokyo), which was then in the JFL, in 1992. He contributed to the JFL championship in 1998 and made his J.League debut in 1999 when the club entered the J2 League, continuing to play for FC Tokyo until the 2003 season. He is currently serving as an academy coach at Fanroots Co., Ltd..
