Thank you very much for your continued support and encouragement for FC Tokyo.
We would like to inform you that we have decided to fully refund the annual tickets for the 2020 season.

We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the resumption of the season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been carefully considering the handling of annual tickets under these circumstances. Even when the season resumes, there is a high possibility that matches will be held without spectators, with different seating arrangements due to attendance restrictions, cheering limitations, and other conditions that differ from regular match viewing, which leads us to conclude that we will not be able to provide the rights and services initially planned for SOCIO members as before. Additionally, considering that many people may feel anxious about watching matches in the stadium, we have decided to fully refund the cost of annual tickets.

The revenue from annual tickets is a very important source of income for club management, and this decision was a difficult management judgment in a situation where the future of club management is uncertain. In this unprecedented global situation, all players and staff involved with the club deeply feel how painful it is not to be able to play soccer as usual on the pitch. Similarly, we believe that all SOCIO members who have walked with us until now also feel this. This season, as we cannot have a season like usual, we made the above decision from a strong desire to sincerely face all SOCIO members and continue to walk together in the future.
We will overcome this 2020 season together with all SOCIO members, and we will continue to aim for a "strong and beloved team." We sincerely appreciate your continued support and encouragement.

We are currently considering the specific refund methods and will provide details on the refund process again, as well as initiate the refund procedures.
Please check below for the details that have been confirmed at this time.
Please note that the return of the annual ticket set we have already sent is not necessary. Additionally, you can continue to use early sales and member prices for home games, log in to your My Page, and record your attendance with your SOCIO card. For more details, please check the section below titled 'About Various Benefits.'

□ Refund Eligible Persons
Only those who purchased the "2020 Annual Ticket" (payment completed)

□Regarding Refund Waivers
In this situation, some individuals have expressed their intention to waive refunds. Therefore, we have set up a reception form. Please submit your request to waive the refund using the form below by May 24 (Sunday) at 23:59.

Regarding the refusal of refunds, it is a donation to the club and is based on your goodwill. Since it varies depending on each person's perspective towards the club and their individual circumstances, we kindly ask that only those who agree apply.

Regarding refund refusals, we have added the frequently asked questions and requests we received as follows.
If you wish to cancel the refund waiver below, please contact socio@fctokyo.co.jp.

Q1. If I decline the refund, can I enter future matches with the SOCIO card?
A1. When the league resumes and there are matches you can attend, regardless of whether you declined the refund, for the 2020 season, all SOCIO members will need to purchase tickets each time and enter with the tickets.

Q2. If I decline a refund, will there be any preferential treatment such as receiving merchandise gifts or priority access to tickets for future matches? I would like to be able to attend future matches since I am declining the refund.
A2. We do not plan to offer any preferential treatment to those who decline refunds. During this COVID-19 situation, many people are in various circumstances, and we have decided to treat all SOCIO members equally without differentiating between those who decline and those who do not. Therefore, the club does not intend to imply that declining refunds is encouraged by offering preferential treatment, and we believe it would be against our decision if some people receive benefits while others do not have the opportunity to do so.
Also, even if the environment allows you to attend the match, the conditions for holding the event, such as entry restrictions, are currently undecided, and we cannot guarantee how many seats will be available at this time. We appreciate your understanding.

Q3. Is it possible to get a refund for individual matches or a partial refund of the annual season ticket fee instead of the full amount?
A3. Refunds are only available for the full amount of the annual season ticket fee. We truly appreciate your willingness to "give something back to the club," and we hope you can view the option to forgo a refund as one way to do so. From the club's perspective, not only this matter but also receiving the full refund and then supporting us by purchasing uniforms or goods, joining the club support membership, or buying tickets and attending matches after the league resumes are all very valuable sources of income. Everyone has their own way of supporting the club, so if you find a method you agree with, we would be grateful if you could support us within your means.

Q4. I am uncertain about the future, but do I have to apply to decline the refund by 11:59 PM on 5/24 (Sun), and is it impossible to decline the refund after that?
A4. After the deadline for the refund decline application, once preparations are complete, we will send guidance regarding the procedures to everyone who will receive a refund. At that time, if you contact the club to inform them that you wish to decline the refund without completing the refund procedure, it will be treated as a refund decline. However, due to administrative reasons related to the refund process, we would appreciate it if you could submit your application by the deadline on Sunday the 24th as much as possible.

In response to the impact of the new coronavirus, a new system has been established whereby those who choose not to receive a refund for their tickets (decline) will have that amount considered a "donation," allowing them to receive tax benefits (donation deductions).
We are also working on procedures to make this system available for FC Tokyo's annual tickets. We will inform you of the details as soon as they are decided.

For more details, please check here.
