Match Report
Following last week's opening match, Sec. 2 was also blessed with clear skies and kicked off at 12:00 at the away Hitachi Kashiwa Ground.
Fukagawa, who won the opening match 3-0 in the last round and earned 3 points, wants to ride that wave.
[First Half]
Just one minute into the match, we had a corner kick opportunity but it was thwarted by the opposing GK's punch.
In the 7th minute, Yasuda on the left side broke through the center with a dribble and sent it to Kawaguchi on the right side for a cut-in.
Kaneko makes a run and draws a through pass, but the scoring opportunity is ruled offside.
After that, Kashiwa Reysol's traditional build-up was met with Fukagawa's pressing from the front line.
In the midfield, Kajiura seizes the rhythm with defensive skills that snuff out the opponent's attacking momentum, but the back-and-forth battle continues.
In the 30th minute, CB Sugawara connected with Kajiura and Sakuma, sending the ball to Kawaguchi in the center, who then dribbled into the opponent's block. He took a shot but missed to the left of the goal.
Kashiwa's chance came in the 38th minute, when a cross from the opponent's short corner allowed a free header, but it went wide of the target.
【Second Half】
In the 43rd minute of the second half, Kawaguchi received a throw-in, broke through the right side, and delivered a cross. Yasuda reacted to it and tried to score with his right foot, but was thwarted by a fine save from the opposing goalkeeper.
In the following 45 minutes, the ball was passed from the right side by Kawaguchi to Anzai, who made a well-timed overlap, and he crossed with his right foot. Although he sent a sharp ball, Kaneko was unable to react.
After that, they continued to defend tenaciously against Kashiwa's passing play, looking for opportunities to attack.
In the 61st minute, Kashiwa broke through the left side with a one-two from their high-quality possession and entered the penalty area, but goalkeeper Kumakura calmly caught the ball.
Fukagawa, who found rhythm from defense, launched a fierce attack in the final stages.
In the 71st minute, from Kajiura's through pass, and in the 80th minute, from Anzai's dribbling breakthrough, Yasuda shoots after getting past the opponent, but both are denied by the post.
Mogi's shot in added time was weak and went straight to the GK.
The match ends with a score of 0-0.
It was frustrating to end up with just one point, as we created good opportunities from sustained defensive concentration.
I hope to see the pursuit of challenges and the accumulation of Fukagawa's uniqueness in the next match.
