Match Report
Under clear skies, the 2017 Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League Division 1 Sec. 12 was held at the Tokyo Gas Musashino-En multipurpose ground.
As the league matches enter the second round, both teams will face each other with an understanding of each other's characteristics.

[First Half]
In the early stages, both teams engage in a battle for possession with highly focused defense.
In the 7th minute, Kaneko applied pressure on the opponent's DF's back pass to the GK, and the blocked ball headed towards the unguarded goal but went wide.
In the 13th minute, CB Shin passed the ball to Aoki, who ran behind the opponent's DF, but the opponent's DF cut it off.
Tokiwa and Yasuda connect this second ball, and Aoki shoots again in front of the goal, but it goes wide to the right.
In the 22nd minute, Fukagawa continued to improve possession with coordinated defense and calm build-up, searching for a breakthrough towards the opponent's goal.
A rough cross is sent from the left side to the center, and the clearance with a header is sucked into our own goal, resulting in a deficit.
Nevertheless, Fukagawa proceeded with the match calmly. In the 27th minute, the ball was passed to Sugawara, who made a run, via Tokiwai and Yasuda, from a build-up initiated by Shin.
Sugawara boldly initiated a one-on-one and delivered a cross, which deflected off the opposing DF, changing the angle and going straight into the goal.
The first half continued with back-and-forth developments, ending in a tie.

【Second Half】
In the 44th minute of the second half, Aoki steals the ball from the opposing defender with aggressive defense from the front line and heads straight for the goal.
In the end, Kaneko received the ball freely and calmly slotted it in, scoring his first goal.
As the back-and-forth battle continues, the defense remains focused, and time passes without either side being able to score.
In the 67th minute, Kumakura calmly caught the opponent's chance and scored an additional goal in the 78th minute.
Kawaguchi, who came on as a substitute, received the ball from Tokiwa, skillfully turned and dribbled past the defender, calmly slotted the ball into the goal in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper to secure an additional point.
In this league match in Kawaguchi, the first goal decides the match.
The match ended as is, and we gained 3 points since Sec. 8.

There are still many challenges, but it was a game with many positive elements, such as bouncing back from a deficit and the first goals from Kaneko and Kawaguchi.
I want to tighten my focus and prepare for the next match.
