Match Report
Fukagawa, currently in 2nd place with 4 consecutive wins, faces the top-ranked Kashima Antlers Junior Youth in Sec. 16 of the 2017 Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League Division 1.
To close the 6-point gap in the standings, we want to accumulate 3 points.
The home ground 'Fukagawa Grand', filled with tension since before the match, started under light rain.
[First Half]
The match starts to move from the early stages.
In the 5th minute, Tokiwa intercepted the opponent's build-up pass in midfield and took a powerful long-range shot that found the back of the net, scoring the opening goal.
After that, both teams attempted to advance into the opponent's territory using long balls.
Then, in the 12th minute, although they initially cleared the opponent's long throw, they allowed a loose ball to be lifted in front of the goal, which was headed in to equalize the score.
In the 16th minute, the opponent delivered a cross ball without hesitation, which was controlled by the FW with his chest, leading to a goal from the third player's movement, turning the game around.
Fukagawa, who was in a chasing situation, built an attack against Kashima's retreating block, but it didn't quite come together, leading to a development that involved the risk of counterattacks.
Even so, gradually, Shin, Ryo SAKUMA, and Tokiwa created a rhythm, and in the 32nd minute, Yasuda received a vertical pass from Shin and spread it to the side.
Ishii receives this and passes to Tokiwai in the center.
At this moment, a through pass is sent to Yasuda, who breaks free behind the defense, and he calmly slots it into the goal to equalize.
The first half ends in a tie as neither side gives way.
【Second Half】
The battle for control continues from the start of the second half, with ongoing midfield struggles, and neither side is able to create clear chances.
In the 48th minute, Fukagawa had a corner kick opportunity, and Nozawa calmly controlled the second ball and took a shot, but it went over the bar.
Fukagawa, wanting to take control, brought in Kajiura in the 57th minute. By moving Anzai to the front line for pressing and enhancing their midfield creativity, they gradually began to create their own time.
In the 60th minute, DF Kimura reacted to a loose ball from the corner kick and took a shot, but it did not connect.
Then, in the 64th minute, Tokiwai skillfully connected from a corner kick to successfully turn the game around.
After that, Fukagawa is looking for an opportunity to score an additional goal while bouncing back Kashima's long ball aimed at equalizing.
However, in the 72nd minute, after conceding a free kick near the halfway line, a precise ball is fed directly to the center from the right side.
Calmly deciding this against the opponent, we are once again caught up to a tie.
After that, Fukagawa, wanting to take the 3 points, approached the opponent's goal but could not break through the solid defense, and the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
It was a frustrating result as we couldn't close the gap in points, but there are positive aspects such as the increase in scoring variations and the intensifying competition within the team.
I want to carry this momentum into the next matches.
