Match Report
The 2nd Round, which is a consecutive match, kicked off at 13:20 at K's denki Stadium Mito, just like yesterday.
Yesterday, we were able to take a significant lead and achieve victory, but I want to tighten our focus and fight again.
[First Half]
At the start, both teams use long balls simply, and the battle for control begins.
Among them, it was Fukagawa who gradually increased the possession rate, but the defense in the midfield of Avispa was solid, making it difficult to enter the area near the penalty box.
Even so, in the 12th minute, captain Tokiwa received the ball in the center, dribbled forward, and took a shot from the middle.
Although it goes wide, as they create rhythm, Aoki and Nozawa effectively break into the space behind the opponent's defense and start creating chances.
In the 19th minute, Anzai received the ball on the right side and struck with his left foot after a dribble, but the defender blocked it.
The persistent offensive paid off in the 34th minute, when Anzai received a vertical pass from Ryo SAKUMA in the center, broke free from the opposing defender with a combination play with Aoki, and took a shot.
Nozawa pushes in the ball that the opposing GK fumbled to score the opening goal.
After that, the DF line maintained high concentration, preventing the opponent from creating any scoring opportunities, and went into halftime with a score of 1-0.
【Second Half】
Fukagawa, who aggressively attacked from the start, saw Nozawa come close to the opponent's goal in the 42nd and 53rd minutes.
In the 56th minute, Anzai broke through deep into the opponent's territory, connected with Aoki, and took a shot that was saved by the opposing GK.
Although he reacted to the deflected ball himself, he was blocked by the opponent's DF, making it difficult to score an additional goal.
In the 59th minute, Aoki reacted to Anzai's shot rebound, but it went over the bar.
Unable to convert the scoring opportunity, as the situation became difficult, Avispa increased their ball possession rate, and a crisis occurred in the 66th minute.
When a free kick is given near our penalty area, a precise cross comes in, and GK Kumakura bravely clears it with a punch.
Reacting without creating any gaps for the second ball, preventing the opponent from scoring.
After overcoming the crisis, the ball hit the hand of the opposing DF in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick being awarded.
However, this penalty kick was blocked by the opposing GK, and we could not score an additional point.
As the game heated up further, in the 70th minute, Aoki controlled a clearance from the opposing defender with his chest in a scramble in front of the opponent's goal and struck with his left foot for the long-awaited additional goal.
Furthermore, in the 74th minute, Aoki broke through with a dribble and passed to Anzai, who was free in front of the goal, and he slotted it in for 3-0.
The defense maintained their concentration until the end, keeping a clean sheet as the match concluded.
It was a challenging series of consecutive matches, and it was a game following the victory from the previous day, but we were able to secure the win without leaving any openings.
In order to advance in the knockout tournament, I want to strengthen my skills during the period until the next match and fight with all my might in every single game.
