Match Report
The semifinal round of the 29th All Japan Youth (U-15) Soccer Championship, held at AJINOMOTO FIELD NISHIGAOKA, which can be called the home stadium for FC Tokyo.
FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa, who has advanced to the match against Omiya Ardija Junior Youth, has not conceded a goal in the current tournament (3 matches) and has won all of them.
Before the match, Coach Ota said, "It's a wonderful stage. Let's value our switch in everything and show our Fukagawa spirit. Let's play with a gritty attitude without giving up on anything." Then, everyone in the locker room grabbed the emblem on their chest and sent it onto the pitch.
【First Half】
Omiya dominated the ball.
About 5 minutes into the game, Omiya has been holding onto the ball and receiving attacks from both sides, but Fukagawa's defense has been tightly closing the center and not giving any chances.
Fukagawa tries to create chances by having Sasunuma and Aoki make runs behind the opponent's defense and draw out a through pass, but they are unable to create any opportunities.
In defense, Sasunuma and Aoki from the front line make dedicated attempts to press the opposing DF line, but they struggle to find their target and end up with the ball in their own territory.
However, around the 20-minute mark, Fukagawa also began to connect passes and started to find their rhythm, and in the 22nd minute.
Tokiwa intercepts in the midfield, Sakuma and Yasuda are involved here. The three of them connect passes intricately and in the end, Sakuma takes a shot with his right foot, but it narrowly misses to the left of the goal.
27-28 minutes, Omiya is threatened with a short counter attack, but both shots miss the goal.
Then, Fukagawa takes the lead after defending against this opponent's attack.
36 minutes, Yasuda, who dribbled on the left side, passes to Aoki who has flowed vertically.
Aoki makes a one-on-one attack on the left PA and cuts into the goal area, then passes back to Anzai.
Anzai firmly pushes this in and takes the lead point.
Afterwards, Aoki timed his run perfectly and broke through the opponent's DF line. He attempted a looping shot after seeing the opponent GK come out, but it narrowly missed the target.
Although we couldn't score any additional points, we head into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
[Halftime]
Manager Ota: "We came back with a 1-0 lead, but we haven't gained anything yet. Let's all press forward and show our strengths. The defense must not forget to manage risks."
【Second Half】
Fukagawa, who confirmed pressing from the front with everyone during halftime, takes control with coordinated pressing from the start.
When Sasunuma and Aoki press the front line, the midfield and DF line push up in response, and put a net on Omiya's specialty, the short pass.
At 43 minutes, a left corner kick was sent far, and from here, a counter was received, but Sugawara quickly switched and kicked the opponent's ball out of bounds, breaking the flow.
Fukagawa, who does not lose concentration, receives a pass from Shin and Sasunuma passes to Aoki, who runs behind the defense and calmly scores the second goal in a one-on-one situation with the opposing goalkeeper at the 47th minute.
Fukagawa, who is further strengthening the attack, entered the PA after Yasuda, who flew out on Kimura's feed in the 52nd minute.
In the 53rd minute, Sugawara made a move in the left PA and earned a CK, but Yasuzaki passed it to Aoki on the far side, but it went over the frame.
Then in the 58th minute, the opponent's GK made a mistake with a goal kick and Aoki picked it up.
When calmly deciding this one-on-one with the GK with his left foot, he widened the lead to 3 points, but then faced Omiya's relentless counterattack.
Despite being repeatedly attacked by long throws and dribbles from both sides, Kimura and Shin defended with their bodies to prevent Fukagawa from scoring.
In addition, GK Kumakura also showed a good defense, and the defense has kept a clean sheet so far in this tournament.
Fukagawa also showed a strong attacking attitude until the end, with Nozawa coming on as a substitute and threatening the goal from a counter, keeping the opponent in check.
Fukagawa, who sent substitute players onto the pitch in the final stages, closed the game and advanced to the final round with a 3-0 victory.
The semifinal round, which was held on a weekday, was attended by many fans and supporters in the stands, who gave strong support to the players and staff.
In addition, the U-18 players who won the "Takamado Cup U-18 Soccer League 2017 Championship" the other day also rushed to the goal end and their appearance of cheering on U-15 Fukagawa with loud voices strengthened the sense of unity as FC Tokyo.
