Match Report
Although it is mid-August, there is a slight chill in Obihiro City, Hokkaido.
The 32nd Japan Club Youth Championship (U-15) tournament finally kicked off on this day.
The opponent in the first match of what can be considered a culmination of efforts is JFA Academy Fukushima U-15.
[First Half]
The match saw back-and-forth exchanges from the start.
Musashi built an attack from the back centered around Hayama Furuya, earning a corner kick from Shota Kurihara's dribble in the 6th minute.
In the 9th minute, Kohei Ueda received a pass from Natsuki Watanabe's cut-in and approached the opponent's goal, aiming for a strong attack. The JFA Academy also created a point in the front line with a powerful counterattack, putting pressure on Musashi. It felt like a direct clash.
In that context, it was the JFA Academy that first changed the score.
He skillfully dribbled, creating a scramble in front of the goal and pushed it into the net.
At the start, Musashi had a bit of momentum, but they were caught off guard for a moment.
Overall, perhaps because it was the first match of the tournament, Musashi seemed to show some stiffness in their movements.
[Second Half]
After being encouraged by Coach Makoto KITA during halftime, Musashi launched an aggressive and speedy attack right from the start.
Moving the ball quickly with simple passes, we advance into the opponent's territory, while players from the back aggressively push forward.
In the 41st minute, Shogo Miyashita delivered a cross from the right side, which was met by Shun Tanimura with a header.
Suddenly equalized right after the start of the second half.
From here, it's Musashino's pace.
Shoryu Umehara and Shota Kurihara create dangerous moments with their shots threatening the opponent's goal.
However, the JFA Academy is also a tough opponent.
In that way, Musashi actively moves forward, aiming firmly behind him to create good opportunities.
There was a period around the 60th minute when we managed to fend off consecutive crises thanks to a fine save by Rei Momoi.
It is indeed a back-and-forth.
A thrilling game with a balance of power unfolded.
Could the next point decide the match?
This must have been the tension felt by many in the crowd.
And it was the JFA Academy that scored that one point.
In the 67th minute, he picked up the loose ball from a direct free kick in the Musashi territory and took advantage of a slight opening to score, making it 1-2.
A chase scenario again.
From here, Musashi launched a fierce attack, and just before the end, Furuya's header, which advanced to the front line, threatened the opponent's goal but was denied by the right post, resulting in no score.
And time's up.
Musashi started with a loss.
In the second match of the group stage on the 16th, we will face Osaka City Juness FC Junior Youth at 14:40 at Obihiro City Green Park A.
I want to make a comeback from here.
