○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
The first match of the 2017 season, the 28th Tokyo Club Youth U-17 Football Championship, will be held at home at 'Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multi-Purpose Ground' against FC Suginami Youth.
As the defending champions, Coach Sato urged the players, "We cannot be the best in Japan unless we become the best in Tokyo. Let's play a game where each individual can challenge themselves!"
The match began with a kickoff in Suginami, amidst warm sunshine and a chilly breeze.
《First Half》
Tokyo takes control of the ball from the start and actively enters the match with the initiative.
The opening shot is at 26 seconds, Okaniwa takes a mid-range shot but it's right at the GK.
Okaniwa received the ball in the center from the left side in the 4th minute, but his shot from distance went to the left of the goal.
Suginami built a strong block in front of the penalty area, and Tokyo struggled to break through, but in the 13th minute, Fukiye took a decisive shot and earned a corner kick.
When Okaniwa sends this right corner kick to the far side, Hara competes for it and pushes in the loose ball to take the lead.
After that, they continued to launch various attacks in the opponent's territory, but they couldn't break through to score a goal.
Even so, Tokyo continued to attack, and in the 34th minute, Kubo received the ball in the center, dribbled forward, and struck with his left foot.
Scores an additional goal in the bottom right corner.
In the 40th minute, Hara received a middle pass from Hasegawa behind the opponent's defensive line, became the starting point, and connected to Arakawa, who took a shot but missed the goal.
End the first half with a score of 2-0.
≪Half Time≫
Coach Sato
"Scoring is not easy. It's natural that things don't go as planned. In that situation, let's come up with ideas and show our quality."
《Second Half》
After bringing in Yokoyama and Imamura at halftime, these two accelerate the attack.
50 seconds into the match, Okaniwa on the right side connected with Yokoyama who ran vertically, advancing to the goal line. He aimed for Imamura at the near post but couldn't hit the target.
In the 50th minute, Tokyo attacked from the right side, and Yokoyama, who dribbled into the right penalty area, passed a floated ball to Imamura at the near post, who shook the net with a right-footed jumping volley from a difficult position.
In the 55th minute, Kubo made a dribble in the center and the ball spilled. Arakawa picked up the loose ball and scored the fourth goal with his right foot from outside the penalty area.
After that, Tokyo made successive substitutions to change their attack, and in the 69th minute, Yoshida received the ball in the penalty area and scored with a turnaround shot while holding off the opponent.
Two minutes later, Yoshida received a pass from Okaniwa inside the penalty area, evaded the opposing DF, and struck a powerful shot with his right foot for the sixth goal.
Tokyo, not easing their offensive, in the 76th minute, Okaniwa's middle pass found Imamura behind the opponent's defensive line, who then dropped it to Haga, who jumped into the center and aimed with a right-footed direct shot, but it went over the goal.
The seventh goal was scored in the 87th minute, connecting from Okaniwa on the right side to Yokoyama, and as Yoshida moved to the right inside the penalty area to receive the ball, he scored directly with his right foot into the far side, achieving a hat trick.
Tokyo maintained their energy until the end and continued to dominate the match, winning their first game of the tournament and the 2017 season 7-0.
