○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
The 28th Annual Tokyo Derby, Sec. 18 of the Tokyo Club Youth U-17 Football Championship Final Round.
With good weather, Coach Sato entered the venue with a smile, saying, "It's a perfect day for soccer!"
The starting eleven of Tokyo aiming for consecutive championships has Ohmoto as the goalkeeper.
The DF line has captain Okaniwa on the right. Sakaguchi is on the left, and the center is secured by Shinohara and HASEGAWA.
In the midfield, Arakawa, Kobayashi (Makoto), Hirakawa, and Kobayashi (Miki) are lined up flat from the right, with Hara and Kubo forming a two-top in the front line.
The formation of 4-4-2, which is the base of this tournament.
In the pre-match meeting, Coach Sato strongly encouraged the players, saying, "Let’s face soccer sincerely and wholeheartedly. Quality is important. Everything depends on us. Let’s show the people who came to see the dynamic new FC Tokyo U-18!" and sent them out onto the pitch.

《First Half》
From the start, Tokyo took control with sharp movements. In the 2nd minute, Kubo seized on an opponent's mistake and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but was thwarted by a great save.
Then, shortly after, Kobayashi (Miki) stole the ball in front of the opponent's goal and calmly slotted it into the near post to score the opening goal.
Tokyo moved the game first, but received a counterattack from Verdy.
In the 6th minute, as they attacked from the right side, the loose ball went to a free player in front of the goal.
This was aimed for a direct volley, but it went over the goal.
In the following 7 minutes, they broke through the DF line and created a scoring opportunity, but Ohmoto calmly saved the one-on-one.
After the match, Coach Sato said, "I don't know what would have happened if it weren't for Ohmoto's save." Following that, Ohmoto continued to make great plays, locking down the Tokyo goal.
Tokyo endures the opponent's time while vocalizing, with Hasegawa's covering play.
Verdy will try to create chances through build-up play, including the GK, throughout the match.
In response, Tokyo, led by Hara and Kubo, actively pressed from the front line. With organized defense, they prevented the opponent's attack, creating a chance for an additional goal in the 16th minute.
Kobayashi (Miki) stole the ball in the opponent's half, carried it deep into the left penalty area, and delivered a low cross to the near post.
Hara dives in here but cannot hit the target.
After that, Tokyo continued to threaten the opponent's defense with aggressive runs from Hara and Kubo and attacks from the sides, but the second goal remained elusive due to their resilient defense.
Just before the end of the first half, Kubo broke through the opponent's defensive line and faced the GK one-on-one, but was once again thwarted by the opponent's GK's excellent save, ending the first half.

≪Halftime≫
Coach Sato
"Let's be clear about when to go for the ball and when not to. When we go for it, we must not let it slip away. It's a tough game, but let's see it through to the end."

《Second Half》
At the start, Verdy took control of the game.
After losing the second ball in the midfield battle, it became a time of patience for 10 minutes.
Attacked from the left side, entered the penalty area, and conceded a goal at the near side to equalize.
Tokyo replaced Hara with Fuki. They switched to a two-top formation with Kobayashi (Miki) and Kubo, placing Fuki on the right side. Arakawa took the left side in the formation change.
Then, Fuki brought back the momentum for Tokyo with his aggressive play.
In the 59th minute, after winning the ball with a press from the front against the opponent's goal kick, Fukiho shoots from the right side.
In the 64th minute, a ball from the left side went to Fuki, who passed it to Okaniwa. Fuki then ran outside, received the return pass, and crossed.
Passed to Kobayashi (Makoto) who jumped in free near the goal, but couldn't score.
In defense, Kobayashi (Makoto) and Hirakawa prevent the opponent's attacks in midfield against counterattacks, not allowing the flow to change.
Then, in the 72nd minute, Kobayashi (Miki) dribbles down the left side, attracting the opponent, and delivers a final pass to Kubo inside the penalty area.
Kubo powerfully kicked the ball into the goal from a tight angle, taking the lead.
Furthermore, in the 75th minute, Kubo intercepted a pass mistake in the opponent's half, dribbled past the defender, and calmly finished in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
Tokyo, having widened the score gap, brings in Shinada and Sugiyama to accelerate the attack.
In the 87th minute, Arakawa made a solo run from the left side and attempted to cut in, aiming for the far side with his right foot, but it narrowly missed the target.
The fourth goal came in the 90th minute, when Imamura stole the ball from the opponent and unleashed a powerful shot from distance, which the goalkeeper deflected.
When Sugiyama picks this up in the right penalty area, Shinada, who was at the far side for a shooting cross, pushes it in with his body.
Tokyo, who maintained their concentration until the end, closed the match after 3 minutes of additional time.
Achieved victory in the 'Tokyo Derby' and secured consecutive tournament championships.
