○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
The 2017 Prince Takamado Trophy U-18 Football League Premier League EAST will also kick off this year.
Last year, Tokyo finished in second place after losing to Aomori Yamada High School in the final match. The players and staff continue to aim for the goal of winning the triple crown.
All players belonging to U-18 will come together to challenge the opening game as there is no U-23 match this week.
The opening match opponent will be Shimizu S-Pulse Youth, following last year.
Manager Sato sent the players onto the pitch with the message, "Let's play with passion and composure for 90 minutes. There will be many challenges, but let's stick together and give it our all when things don't go smoothly."
【First Half】
The game, which started with Tokyo's kickoff while the cherry blossoms on the back stand side were beautifully blooming, had a cautious start for both teams.
Tokyo looks for a clue from a long pass targeting the front line while holding the ball.
However, it was Shimizu who took the lead.
17 minutes, when facing forward near the center circle in their own territory, a surprising long shot shakes the net.
Tokyo, who conceded the first goal, regained possession with a free kick near the opponent's right corner just 18 minutes later. Kubo took the shot, but it missed the top left corner of the goal.
In the 24th minute, Kubo was fouled after dribbling and earned a free kick from about 25 meters to the center and slightly to the right. Kubo then scored directly to the right, tying the game.
Tokyo, who was leading, gave away a free kick at the 27th minute. It seemed like the wall had blocked it, but the hand was judged and another free kick was given.
Allowing this to be stabbed directly into the top left of the goal again, we concede the lead once more.
Tokyo, who wants to catch up with the tie, aims for the upper frame with a right-footed direct shot from Kubo, who drops the pass from Shina's floating ball in the PA at 36 minutes.
In the 44th minute, Harada dropped a floating pass from Shinaida and Kobayashi (Shin) jumped in, but the GK jumped out and caught it.
Trailing in the first half, we turn it around.
【Halftime】
Coach Sato: "Let's control the ball and aim for the opponent's back. Let's also increase the tempo of our passes. Let's face the game of soccer and fight until the end."
【Second Half】
Tokyo was the one who actively attacked from the beginning.
At 61 minutes, Okanohara carefully crosses from the right side, and Hara's header is deflected off the left post as they attack from both sides while dominating the ball.
Tokyo, who is on a roll, connects with Kubo and Hirata from the midfield at the 66th minute. Hirata then dribbles up and controls the ball with his right foot, scoring a tying goal.
The game will now see a fierce exchange of offense and defense.
70 minutes, when Shizuoka allowed deep entry on the right side, the header was bounced off the bar from the cross, and the loose ball also allowed a free header, but it went over the frame.
In the 71st minute immediately after, Kobayashi (Shin) steals the ball deeply on the left side and crosses it to Kubo, who lifts the ball and aims for a jumping volley, but it goes over the frame.
In the 80th minute, Takase blocked the opponent's scoring opportunity with his body.
In the 84th minute, Kubo made a solo run up the left side and made a last pass to Kobayashi (Miki), but the GK caught it just before.
In the 90+3 minute, while both teams were aiming for the final round, the right side was broken through and a goal was scored on the far side, making it 2-3.
This became the final goal, resulting in a losing start for the opening game.
Thank you very much for your warm support to the players today.
We kindly ask for your continued support and warm cheers for FC Tokyo U-18.
