○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
Starting from a defeat, the 2017 Prince Takamado Trophy U-18 Football League Premier League EAST saw Tokyo gain momentum with two consecutive victories.
This round coincides with the U-23 matches, and while four players are accompanying the U-23 team, Omiya Ardija Youth will take on the challenge.
Coach Sato said, "We are in good form with consecutive wins. Let's win today and accumulate points. To do that, we must not lose individually. In attack, let's take the initiative ourselves."
Let's make sure to fully commit to winning the ball in defense. Set pieces will be important for both offense and defense, so let's all focus and fight together.

[First Half]
In the very first minute, Okaniwa made a move from the right side and delivered a cross, which Yoshida shot.
Although the goal was not scored, it was a good start.
In the 9th minute, Imamura applied pressure on the opposing defense, which was slow to handle a clearance ball from Tokyo, and won the ball.
He dribbles in from here and takes a shot, but it goes far off target.
Omiya will also try to create chances with their characteristic possession football, but they apply intense pressure from the front, centered around the two forwards Yoshida and Imamura, preventing any opportunities from arising.
This press induces mistakes from the opponent, and while Yokoyama, Yoshida, and Imamura bring the ball to the goal area after winning it in midfield, they struggle to take a shot.
Still attacking, Tokyo reacted to a ball stolen in midfield at the 39th minute, with Imamura breaking free and initiating a dribble to earn a corner kick.
Although this corner kick was initially cleared by the opponent, Okaniwa picked up the loose ball and took a sharp ground shot, which was then slid in by Hayato HASEGAWA, securing the long-awaited opening goal.
Took the lead at a good time and went into halftime with a score of 1-0.

【Halftime】
Coach Sato
"Let's create our own time in the second half. However, we need to be careful of counterattacks when we push forward."
In past matches against Omiya, we often get defeated at the very last moment. We must stay focused and fight until the end.

【Second Half】
Following Coach Sato's instructions, Tokyo takes control of the pace from the start of the second half.
In the 47th minute, Yokoyama on the right side connected with Imamura, who took the first shot of the second half, but it went wide of the goal.
In the second half, by defending from the front line and taking away the opponent's freedom, in the 58th minute, Yoshida stole the ball from a high position and passed it directly to Imamura.
Now Imamura calmly slots it into the goal to secure an additional point.
Tokyo, gaining momentum, saw Imamura break through with a one-two pass with Shinada in the 64th minute and take a shot. The opposing goalkeeper barely deflected it, but Sugiyama, who had made a run, neatly pushed it in to secure the third goal.
After that, Tokyo created several chances through Shinada, but they were thwarted by Omiya's defense.
Omiya creates chances with short passes and approaches the Tokyo goal, but Tokyo's defense also prevents this with focused play.
Tokyo, showing signs of fatigue from intense pressing defense, brings in Fuyuno, Haga, Nakaya, and Kusazumi to create their own time once again.
In the dying moments of the match, in the 90+2 minute, Sugiyama brought the ball into the penalty area on a counterattack and took a shot, but it went over the crossbar.
The match ended like this, winning 3-0.

Tokyo executed a coordinated defense throughout the match, not allowing the opponent to create any chances.
They scored three goals from the chances created by that defense, leading to a match that boosted the players' confidence.

Thank you very much for your warm support for the players today as well.
