○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
In high temperatures and under the hot sun, the 1st Round of the 41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship Kanto Tournament was held at the Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multi-Purpose Ground.
The opponent is NPO法人杉並ソシオフットボールクラブU-18.
As the reigning national champions, Coach Sato approaches this tournament with the mindset that
"This tournament, which leads to being number one in Japan, will be a total battle. The first step is today's match. Let's humbly face soccer and play to win, no matter what."
The temperature is high, but we should apply power from the start of the match. Let's utilize our strong set plays and fight on." This was conveyed to the players before the match, which kicked off at 13:30.
[First Half]
From the start, with Yoshida and Imamura leading the front line, the midfield players also press together to win the ball from the opponent.
In the attack, Shinada and Kobayashi spread the passes left and right to build the attack.
Although they take control and bring the ball to the front of the goal multiple times, the opponent defends fiercely, making it difficult to take a good shot.
In the 24th minute of such a situation, the opening goal was scored.
Sugiyama received a pass from Arakawa, who created space on the left side, and delivered a cross. Yoshida skillfully headed it into the goal to take the lead.
Gaining momentum, Tokyo scored their second goal in the 33rd minute when Imamura, who was free at the far side, pushed the corner kick from Shinada into the net with the inside of his right foot.
In the 34th minute, Shinada stole the ball from the defense at the front and brought it into the penalty area, where he was fouled by an opponent, earning a penalty kick.
Although Shinada took this penalty kick himself, it was saved by the opposing GK, creating an unpleasant atmosphere in the 36th minute.
Yokoyama, who had the ball on the right side, sent in a high cross that was deflected by the opposing goalkeeper, allowing Yoshida to follow up and make it 3-0.
In the 40th minute, Imamura powerfully scored with a left-footed shot from a dribble, and in the 43rd minute, Shinada's right corner kick was perfectly headed in by Kusazumi, making it 5-0.
Halftime break.
【Half Time】
Coach Sato
"The 5-0 score in the first half doesn't matter; let's find the opponent's weaknesses and launch our intended attacks in the second half. We need to keep our defense tight and maintain a zero score in the second half as well."
【Second Half】
At the start, Haga, Takahashi, and Kubo are brought in.
From the start, they dominated the game from a high position and continuously brought the ball to shoot, but they couldn't score.
Then, in the 57th minute, Sugiyama received a pass from Shinada after a series of passes in the center, and with a dribble, he struck with his left foot, hitting the right post for the sixth goal.
Tokyo, not easing their offensive, will pile up goals in the second half starting with this goal.
In the 62nd minute, Arakawa broke through on the left side and passed to Kubo waiting in the penalty area, who scored with one touch, making it 7-0.
In the 66th minute, Nakaya was substituted for Shinada, and in the 79th minute, Suzuki was brought in for Kobayashi to further accelerate the momentum.
In the 79th minute, Haga, who held the ball in the center, skillfully broke free with a one-two with Kubo and scored with a shot from a difficult angle to the left of the goal.
In the 85th minute, Yokoyama took a left corner kick, which was headed in by captain Shinohara, scoring the 9th goal of the match.
In the 86th minute, Kubo struck confidently with his right foot, scoring the second goal of the match, making it 10-0.
In the 90+1 minute, substitute Suzuki broke through on the left side with a dribble and passed to Haga in front of the goal.
Haga skillfully blocked the opponent and passed to Kubo, who calmly scored, achieving a hat-trick in this match.
Immediately after the match resumed, Sugiyama's shot from the center was deflected by the opposing goalkeeper, and Nakaya, who came on as a substitute, skillfully reacted to the ball and scored, making it 12-0.
Although the score difference was significant, what mattered most in this match was winning.
Led by Shinohara and GK Takase, the defense line maintained high concentration until the end, advancing to the 2nd Round as a team.
Thank you very much for your warm support for the players today as well.
