○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
Following yesterday, the weather was favorable for the 41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-18) Kanto Tournament Semifinal Round held at home 'Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multi-Purpose Ground'.
Coach Sato said, "It will be a total battle, including the bench. We must work hard and play with grit, while not forgetting our resilience." He encouraged the players and sent them onto the pitch.

[First Half]
Due to the consecutive matches, Tokyo, wanting to take the lead, had its first shot just 30 seconds into the game by Kobayashi (Miki), gaining momentum.
However, both teams advance the ball to the vicinity of the goal but are unable to break through the solid defense and create scoring opportunities.
As the stalemate continues, Tokyo gradually pulls the momentum and launches an offensive.
In the 30th minute, Arakawa forcefully broke through from the left side and took a shot with his right foot after cutting in.
In the 32nd minute, the ball was played wide from the left to the right side, and Sakaguchi sent an early cross to the center.
When Hara dives in with a header, it bounces off the post.
In the 37th minute, Arakawa played the ball vertically down the left side, and Kobayashi (Miki) received the ball while drifting from the center and crossed it in front of the goal.
Yokoyama heads it but it's right in front of the GK.
Unable to score, the first half ends in a scoreless draw.

【Halftime】
Coach Sato
"Let's be careful of our mistakes and fouls. Let's maintain a good tempo while being aware of the balance between offense and defense."

【Second Half】
Hirakawa and Okaniwa are brought in to replace Shinada and Yokoyama.
Tokyo, having changed their position, will attack from the start of the second half just like they did in the first half.
In the 46th minute, Kobayashi (Makoto) dribbled down the left side and passed it to Arakawa outside.
The cross from the side didn't connect, but we are going to take control.
In the 51st minute, Kobayashi (Miki) received the ball on the left side and passed it to Hara in the center, who then directly set up Sugiyama for a shot from distance, but it hit an opponent and resulted in a right corner kick.
With the score unchanged, Tokyo brought in Kubo for Arakawa in the 60th minute to add some variation to their attack.
Then, in the 67th minute, Kobayashi (Makoto) played a ball behind the opposing defense line, leading to a contest between the advancing opposing goalkeeper and Hara.
He picks this up himself and flows it into the empty goal to take the lead.
After that, while moving the ball at a good tempo and approaching the Urawa goal but failing to score, Urawa also began sending simple crosses from the counter and the sides into the front of the goal.
In response, Takase from Tokyo calmly came out to catch the ball. The center-back duo of Shinohara and Kusazumi also put their bodies on the line to defend the goal.
The team's defense, including the forwards, functioned well until the end, securing a 1-0 victory for the second consecutive day.
Advanced to the Final Round.

So far in this tournament, the reason for not conceding any goals is not just the defense line, but the coordinated defense of the entire team.
Everyone will prepare well for a week and face the Final Round.

Thank you very much for your warm support for the players today as well.
We appreciate your continued support for FC Tokyo U-18.
