○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
The semifinal round of the 41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-18) Kanto Tournament, blessed with good weather for the second day in a row, was held at the home ground of "Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multipurpose Ground".
Manager Sato said, "It will be a total team effort including the bench. We must be gritty and work hard, but also not forget our cunningness." He then sent the players onto the pitch.
【First Half】
With consecutive games, Tokyo wants to take the lead, and in the first shot of the day, Kobayashi (Miki) releases a shot in the first 30 seconds to gain momentum.
However, both teams were unable to break through the strong defense and create scoring opportunities despite advancing the ball towards the goal area.
As the stalemate continues, Tokyo gradually begins to gain momentum and launch an offensive.
30 minutes, Arakawa breaks through forcefully from the left side and shoots with his right foot from a cut-in.
At 32 minutes, Sakaguchi sends an early cross from the left to the right side.
Hara dives in with a diving header and it bounces off the post.
In the 37th minute, Arakawa sent a vertical ball from the left side, and Kobayashi (Miki) received the ball while running from the center and crossed it in front of the goal.
Yokoyama heads it, but the GK blocks it with his face.
Unable to score, the first half ends in a scoreless tie.
[Halftime]
Coach Sato
"Let's be careful of our own mistakes and fouls. Let's maintain a good balance between offense and defense and play with a good tempo."
【Second half】
Substituted Hiranaka and Okaniwa for Shinaida and Yokoyama.
Tokyo, who changed their position and entered the second half, continue to attack from the beginning like in the first half.
46 minutes, Kobayashi (Shin) dribbles on the left side and passes it to Arakawa on the outside.
Although the side attack and cross did not work, we will try to take the initiative.
In the 51st minute, Kobayashi (Miki) held the ball on the left side and passed it to Hara in the center, who then immediately dropped it to Sugiyama and took a shot, but it hit the opponent and resulted in a right corner kick.
As the score remains unchanged, Tokyo made a change in their attack by substituting Kubo for Arakawa at the 60-minute mark.
Then, in the 67th minute, Kobayashi (Shin) sent a ball behind the opponent's DF line from the center, causing a competition between the opponent's GK and Hara.
He picks it up himself and scores the first goal into an empty net.
Afterwards, they continue to move the ball at a fast pace and threaten the Urawa goal, but are unable to score. Urawa also starts sending simple crosses from counters and the sides into the goal area.
Tokyo's Takase calmly catches the ball with a flying leap. The CB duo of Shinohara and Kusasumi also put their bodies on the line to defend the goal.
The team's defense, including the front line players, functioned until the end and won 1-0 for the second day in a row.
Advanced to the Final Round.
The reason why we have not conceded any goals so far in this tournament is not just because of our defense, but also because of the coordinated defense of the entire team.
Everyone will prepare for a week and compete in the final round.
Thank you very much for your warm support to the players today.
We kindly ask for your continued support and warm cheers for FC Tokyo U-18.
