○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-18) Day 2.
Despite the cloudy sky, the temperature is lower than usual, but due to the rain from the previous day, the match will be played in somewhat humid conditions.
The opponent this time is Matsumoto Yamaga FC U-18.
Coach Sato said, "The members have changed since yesterday, but we can create combinations with anyone. Let's increase the number of finishes." He encouraged the players as they headed into the match.
[First Half]
Tokyo pushes the opponent back with pressure from the front line, resulting in a lot of time spent in the opponent's territory.
From there, create chances from the right side starting with Okaniwa.
In the 3rd minute, Okaniwa delivered a cross into the goal area, and in the 5th minute, he passed to Arakawa, who advanced deep while dribbling and holding off defenders.
From there, a low cross was delivered, and at the near post, Shinada made a one-touch pass to Kobayashi (Miki), but the opposing defender blocked it.
After another 8 minutes, Okaniwa passed the ball to Sugiyama, who made a vertical run, then dribbled inside. Kobayashi's (Miki) first shot was blocked, resulting in a left corner kick.
Shinda delivered the corner kick to Hasegawa, who jumped in near the goal, scoring the opening goal.
Following yesterday, we capitalized on the first chance.
Tokyo, further intensifying their attack, saw Hara break through to receive Hasegawa's long ball in the 15th minute, leading to a negative cross.
Sugiyama takes a shot, but the GK blocks it, and Shinada aims for the loose ball, sending it outside the goal.
In the 23rd minute, from the build-up of the DF line, Kusazumi kicks the ball directly behind the opponent's DF, and Hara runs into the space behind.
In front of the opponent's DF, he positioned his body, calmly executed a looping shot over the rushing GK, and scored the second goal.
Continue to advance the match while maintaining control.
In the final stages, although Matsumoto pressed towards the goal, the defense put their bodies on the line to protect the goal, ending the first half at 2-0.
【Half Time】
Coach Sato
"We are holding the ball while the opponent is looking for counterattacks. However, we need to be careful as we are missing key chances. Let's not forget that we are leading by 2 goals and proceed with the match accordingly."
【Second Half】
Tokyo wanted to take control just like in the first half, but they struggled to find their rhythm due to the opponent's sharp pressing and a few minor mistakes.
In the 45th minute, the ball was taken away in the defensive line, giving the opponent a chance, but Takase made a great save. No goals were conceded to the opponent.
In Tokyo, Kobayashi (Miki) created scoring opportunities in the 48th and 49th minutes but could not score, and in the 52nd minute, Shinada also had a scoring opportunity but the goal was far away.
In a rapidly changing game of offense and defense, the Tokyo defense remains focused and does not allow the opponent to score.
To change the flow of the game, Terayama and Fukino were brought in to increase the movement from the front line and apply pressure on the opponent.
In the 71st minute, Hirakawa dribbled through the center of the opponent's half and connected with Terayama, who surged up the left side.
Terayama delivers a sharp cross, but it's just slightly off target.
After that, Fuki, Terayama, and Kobayashi (Miki) applied pressure from the front line, not allowing the opponent to play freely.
In the 78th minute, the right side was breached and a sharp cross was sent to the near post, but Takase made a strong effort to catch it.
Tokyo fought until the end, encouraging each other, and did not allow the opponent to score, ending the match.
Accumulated 3 points with 2 consecutive wins.
