○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
Before the quarterfinal match against Shonan, Coach Sato passionately urged the players, "Let's return to our Tokyo!"
The 41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-18) Semifinal Round is the same matchup as last year.
Kawasaki Frontale U-18 - FC Tokyo U-18
Tokyo has won all matches so far in the qualifying league, with a goal difference of 16 scored and 5 conceded.
Based on abundant physical activity, we fight with dynamism in both offense and defense through diverse attacks.
In contrast, Kawasaki has scored 7 goals and conceded 2, and especially since entering the knockout stage, they have won two consecutive matches against Hiroshima and Yokohama FM in penalty shootouts, making them a resilient team.
The FC Tokyo U-18 players have grown even stronger in Gunma and have 'returned to Tokyo.'
The match today, a prelude to the weekend's Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J1 League Sec. 20 'Tamagawa Classico', kicked off at 19:00 at home AJINOMOTO FIELD NISHIGAOKA.

[First Half]
The match, which started with Kawasaki's kickoff, began with both teams showcasing their characteristics.
Kawasaki aims to exploit the gaps in Tokyo's defense with their strong ball possession.
Tokyo applies pressure on the opponent with coordinated pressing from the front led by Hara and Kubo, along with quick transitions between offense and defense.
In the 11th minute, Kubo received a pass from the back and dribbled down the right side, making the first shot of the match for both teams.
In the 14th minute, Shinada received the ball on the right side of the midfield and delivered an early cross.
Hara aims for a header at the pinpoint ball sent to him, but it goes just slightly to the right.
Then, in the 16th minute, due to an accident, Sakaguchi is substituted by Sugiyama.
From here, both sides advance the ball to the goal area, but the defense puts their bodies on the line, resulting in a stalemate without creating any clear chances.
In an attempt to break through this at the 33rd minute, Shinada took a surprising long shot without spin from over 30 meters away from the opponent's goal.
It was on target, but was blocked by the GK's punch. In the 33rd minute, Shinada aimed for a similar position with a free kick, but it was saved by the GK.
In the 41st minute, Shinada changed the side, and Kobayashi (Miki), who moved up from the left side where Kubo was, took a shot from the center.
The ball aimed at the bottom right was saved by the Kawasaki GK. Hara reacted to the rebound, but was narrowly blocked by the DF.
Conversely, in the 43rd minute, Kawasaki FW Miyashiro broke into the area, but Shinohara slid in to cut it off for a corner kick.
Caught off guard from this corner kick flow, this time Ogawa from Kawasaki's right back entered the area, but Hara threw his body to block the shot.
The first half, where both sides showcased their strengths, was a good match where it wouldn't have been surprising for either team to score.
The first half ends scoreless.

【Half Time】
Coach Sato
"There is nothing negative. Let's aim for the second ball in both offense and defense. The opponent is looking for few chances. Move the ball, vary the pace, and shift up another gear to ensure victory!"

【Second Half】
The second half started without any substitutions from either team.
Right after the start, Arakawa aims for the goal but is met with Kawasaki's offensive.
In the 54th minute, Kawasaki connected a short pass from the right to the center and then to the left, and left-back Carlos DUKE took a shot after a speedy breakthrough, but Takase made the save.
A shot from close range is taken from this left corner kick, but Takase saves it here as well.
In the 56th minute, the opponent's long-range shot threatened the goal, but the DF defended it.
In the 57th minute, amidst a pressing situation, Kubo made a dribble from the left side and unleashed a powerful shot.
This was initially saved by the opposing GK, but Hara in the center reacted to the loose ball and calmly pushed it in to take the lead.
In the 59th minute, still feeling the aftereffects, Kobayashi (Miki) sent a long ball to Hara, who made a run behind, thwarting Kawasaki's attempt to counterattack. He calmly observed the advancing opponent GK and executed a lob shot.
Scoring the 6th goal of the tournament, they extend their lead to 2 points.
From here, they face a counterattack from Kawasaki.
In the 72nd minute, a free kick was awarded to Kawasaki just left of the penalty arc, and the powerful shot grazed the crossbar.
In the 74th minute, after advancing deep down the left side, a negative cross was delivered in front of the goal.
Substituted in FW Miyagi connected with a volley, creating a decisive chance, but it went wide of the target.
Both teams try to change the situation through player substitutions, but the defense remains focused as time progresses.
In the final moments, Tokyo skillfully managed the ball while using time effectively, enduring Kawasaki's fierce attacks until the end of the match.
Won a tough match 2-0 and advanced to the Final Round for the second consecutive year.

Thank you very much for your passionate support for the players today as well.
We appreciate your continued support for FC Tokyo U-18.
