○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
Takamado Trophy U-18 Soccer League 2017 Premier League EAST Sec. 12 will be held at '(Funabashi City Hōten Park (Grasspo) Ground)'
Match against Funabashi High School.
As the temperature rises close to 30℃, Coach Sato said, "We need to showcase what we have built up until now, and FC Tokyo U-18..."
Let's make the organization stronger. We haven't won since I took charge here on this ground. Let's win and return to Tokyo, rewriting history.
With many fans, supporters, and family members from both teams gathering to enhance the atmosphere, the match kicked off in Tokyo at 11:00.
[First Half]
The battle for the championship and the battle for relegation. Both teams, eager to accumulate 3 points, engaged in a fierce exchange of offense and defense from the start, closing in on the goal.
The first scoring opportunity is Ichifuna. In the 4th minute, they break through the left side and deliver a low cross.
It was a ball that seemed like it would be a goal if touched, but it passed in front of the goal, escaping the danger.
In the 14th minute, Tokyo attacked from the right side, but they lost the ball to Ichifuna, and with a single vertical pass, they were caught off guard, leading to a one-on-one with Takase.
However, Takase prevents the opponent's scoring opportunity with a great defense.
In Tokyo, just 15 minutes later, Kusazumi threw a throw-in from the left side of the opponent's territory to Kubo, who made a one-touch run behind.
Kubo entered the left penalty area and delivered a low cross to Arakawa from a deep position, creating a scoring opportunity, but he couldn't finish it.
In the 19th minute, there was a scare as the left side was breached again, shaking the net, but the play just before was offside.
Then in the 21st minute, Hirakawa applied intense pressure on a throw-in deep on the left side of the Ichifuna defense.
Kubo poked the opponent's ball, picked it up in the penalty area, and calmly evaded the GK to score the opening goal.
From here, Ichifuna maintains possession of the ball, while Tokyo launches a short counterattack from midfield pressure.
Ichifuna attempts to build up from GK to CB.
In response, the opposing center-backs were pressured by Hara and Kubo, limiting their options. Although they had possession of the ball, they were not given freedom. Occasionally attacked, but Shinohara and Masaru HASEGAWA calmly dealt with the situation, ending the first half at 1-0.
【Halftime】
Coach Sato: "This is not a match that should end like this. Let's shift up another gear. Let's create our own time in both offense and defense, and communicate closely."
【Second Half】
It starts off with a scare.
In the 46th minute, a right free kick was awarded, and the ball kicked to the far side was pushed in, which seemed like a goal, but it was offside.
In the 48th minute, after dribbling about 40 meters through the center, Takase caught the powerful shot head-on.
Similar to the flow from the middle of the first half, although the opponent has possession of the ball, we respond with organized defense and do not easily allow them to enter our territory.
In the 76th minute, as the tense moments continued, Kobayashi (Miki) created a play on the right side and passed it back to Arakawa, who made a cut-in.
Kubo, who ran free on the left side, connected and aimed for a shot at the far side, but the goalkeeper made a save.
Tokyo continues to look for opportunities by making substitutions to change the rhythm.
In the 85th minute, as they launched a counterattack, Sugiyama faced a scoring opportunity from a dribble, but was thwarted by the opponent's GK's excellent save.
In the final stages, not only solidifying our defense while effectively managing time, but also applying pressure from the front to increase the time spent in the opponent's half.
The match ended without showing any gaps until the very end.
After a fierce match, it was the first victory for Coach Sato at the 'Funabashi City Hōten Park (Grasspo) Ground', earning 3 points.
Thank you very much for your warm support for the players today as well.
We appreciate your continued support for FC Tokyo U-18.
