○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
2017 J Youth Cup Final Round Sec. 25 J League Youth Championship Quarterfinal opponent is Kyoto SANGA F.C. U-18.
This match marks the 4th encounter in official competitions this year. Although we have won all 3 previous matches, the opponent is a strong team that advanced after defeating Shimizu S-Pulse Youth in last week's 3rd Round.
In stark contrast to the rain until last week, it was held in clear weather at BEST DENKI STADIUM.
Coach Sato said, "This will be our 4th match against them this year, and they will be desperate not to lose for the 4th time. In attack, we need to focus on both dynamism and precision, and in defense, we must prioritize situational awareness, continuity, and coordination while applying pressure based on the opponent's situation. Let's fight with this in mind and return to Tokyo, where our teammates are waiting, with a victory!" and sent the players onto the pitch.

[First Half]
In the first minute, Kobayashi Miki takes the opening shot.
Next, Shinada boldly takes a long-range shot from the midfield, but it goes straight to the GK.
And Tokyo faced the first big chance.
Kubo received the ball in the center and made a through pass to Sugiyama after dribbling. Sugiyama took a shot, but it was blocked by the opposing goalkeeper who came out.
Kyoto builds their attack slowly while connecting through the DF line.
And when the ball goes to the side, he boldly delivers a cross, but Takase prevents the danger with an aggressive leap.
Tokyo, which has gradually been creating attacking shapes, saw Yokoyama break through in the 27th minute, evading an opponent just at the goal line and passing to Kubo in the center. Unfortunately, this shot went just over the bar.
In the 29th minute, Kubo aimed directly for a free kick near the penalty area, but it hit the side netting.
In the 32nd minute, Kubo received the ball in midfield, dribbled in, and took a shot. This was blocked by the opponent, but Hirakawa pushed in the rebound, which was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
Furthermore, Shinada takes a shot at the loose ball, but it goes over the bar.
In the 33rd minute, a through pass from Sugiyama was reacted to by Kubo, who cut in close to the goal line and made a return pass to the center, but it did not connect with Kobayashi, who was making a run, and they struggled to score.
Immediately after that, Kyoto created a big chance.
When a dribble is initiated from the center, it spreads to the right side. From there, a quick cross comes in, swaying slightly left and right, and finally, a player who entered the center takes a shot. This is barely saved by the post.
Tokyo created several chances with precise passing, but the final finish was not successful, and the first half ended without any goals.

【HALF TIME】
Coach Sato
"We are creating good shapes, but let's pick up the tempo a bit more. We are seeing a lot of developments in the center and on the same side, so let's use width in our attacks, such as switching sides. Let's value both our offense and defense, as well as set plays, and fight until the end."

[Second Half]
Tokyo continues to create chances in the second half.
After clearing the opponent's corner kick, Sugiyama passed to Kubo. Kubo quickly dribbled forward and delivered a cross to the center, but this was caught by the GK.
After 3 minutes, Yokoyama reacted to the cleared ball from the corner kick again and attempted to dribble forward to deliver a cross, but was blocked by the opponent.
After that, they quickly connected a free kick earned in midfield, and Kubo dribbled into the penalty area to deliver a cross, but it did not connect with his teammates, making it difficult to score a goal.
In the midst of this, Yokoyama was injured and Yoshida was brought in.
After slightly changing positions, Sugiyama, who moved to the right side, initiated a side attack in good coordination with Fuki, but was completely thwarted by the opponent's defense, which maintained their concentration.
Kyoto, with a good flow from defense, creates chances with side changes and balls behind the defense.
In the 80th minute, a superb pass goes behind the defensive line, but Takase's brave advance averts the crisis.
However, three minutes later, Kyoto launched a quick counterattack after picking up a loose ball from Tokyo's corner kick, and a player who ran into the right side scored, allowing the opening goal.
Tokyo, with no more chances left, repeatedly launches attacks from the center, sides, and corner kicks, but gets caught in the opponent's net and cannot score.
The additional time is 4 minutes.
In set plays, GK Takase also participated in the attack, and Tokyo continued to push forward in an attempt to equalize until the final whistle of the match.
The J Youth Cup, aimed at consecutive championships, has ended here.

Thank you to everyone who rushed to Tosu today and for your warm support.
The team will now prepare for the resumption of the Premier League.
