○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
"Today is a battle of the heart. Let's enjoy it!"
Coach Sato gently spoke to the players just before the match.
The Takamado Trophy U-18 Football League 2017 Premier League EAST is finally at the final match.
In Sec. 18, a direct match between FC Tokyo U-18 (2nd place) and Aomori Yamada High School (3rd place) took place, with the possibility of a comeback championship remaining depending on the results of Shimizu S-Pulse Youth (1st place at the end of Sec. 17) being held at a different venue.
Coach Sato conveyed in the pre-match meeting, "This is the culmination of the 2017 season. Let's create a new history! Now is the time to show the spirit of FC Tokyo U-18!" He then threw the opening words to the players before sending them onto the pitch.
[First Half]
The match, which started with a kickoff from Aomori Yamada, showcased intense battles for the ball from the beginning, reflecting the determination of both teams' players for this match.
Tokyo moves the ball around with the double pivot of Shinada and Kobayashi at the center, trying to take control.
In response, Aomori Yamada sets up a compact formation in their own half, using long balls for counterattacks and focusing on set pieces and long throws to approach the Tokyo goal.
In the 3rd and 4th minutes, Yoshida takes a shot, and Aomori Yamada also approaches the Tokyo goal from a corner kick in the 8th minute.
After that, Tokyo launched an offensive from both sides, and Aomori Yamada countered, continuing this development until the 28th minute.
When the ball is lost near the opponent's penalty area, a counterattack is received from the left side.
After being broken through from the side and a cross is sent into the goal area, a sliding attempt is made but does not connect.
After overcoming this pinch, in the 27th minute, the opposing GK catches a back pass from a teammate and earns an indirect free kick inside the penalty area.
Kobayashi aims for the Aomori Yamada players lined up in front of the goal with a trick play, but the opponent clears it on the goal line, resulting in a left corner kick.
Shinada directly hits the far post with this corner kick and scores the opening goal.
Tokyo, gaining momentum, had a counterattack from a dribble by Sugiyama in the 34th minute.
In the 36th minute, they connected the ball quickly on the right side, passing directly from Yoshida to Hara, and finally Sugiyama broke free and aimed directly, but it went just slightly to the right of the goal.
In the 37th minute right after, Kobayashi volleyed from a cross by Fushino on the right side.
In the 42nd minute, Fuki's long pass was headed by Hara to Yoshida, and when it was returned to Hara, who had broken through on the right, the shot was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
Feeling the unpleasant atmosphere of not being able to score additional points while holding the initiative, we head into halftime.
【Halftime】
Coach Sato: "The opponent will definitely not let this end like this. Winning 1-0 is not bad, but let's score the next goal."
There are strong players in the reserves as well, so everyone should give their all.
【Second Half】
Both teams started the second half without making any substitutions. Aomori Yamada began to apply pressure from the front, leading to a rapid exchange of offense and defense.
In the 50th minute, although we faced a counter from the opponent, Takase made a great save in the end.
In the 52nd minute, Tsukino from Tokyo intercepted the ball near the center line, dribbled forward, and took a shot, but it went straight to the goalkeeper.
The long-awaited additional goal came in the 57th minute, with Kobayashi passing the ball to Yokoyama on the right side during a counterattack from their own half.
Yokoyama evaded the opposing player he was facing, and when he saw the opponent closing in with a cover momentarily create some distance, he scored with his left foot to the near side, making it 2-0.
Furthermore, Tokyo's Fukuya is creating chances from the right side and continues to aim for the goal, but it's the 75th minute.
After being broken through on the right side by a dribble, the opponent's shot hit the defender and was sucked into the goal.
It was Kubo who cut off this opponent's momentum for a counterattack.
In the 77th minute, right after conceding a goal, Kubo passed the ball to Yokoyama in midfield and started running towards the goal.
Yokoyama, who received the ball, dribbled up the right sideline, drew in the opponent, and passed it back to Kubo, who ran inside.
Kubo struck with his right foot in a one-on-one situation inside the right penalty area, sending the ball through the opponent's legs and into the far side, making it 3-1.
Aomori Yamada, who never gives up, in the 85th minute, deflected a long ball from the DF with a header, calmly slotted the ball that fell behind the DF line into the goal, making it 3-2.
After that, Tokyo, under heavy attack, spends a long time in their own territory, but they defend the goal with determination, centered around captain Shinohara and Masaru HASEGAWA.
With 3 minutes of additional time displayed, bench coach Sato also encouraged the players on the pitch with a loud voice.
The Tokyo defense, which maintained its concentration until the end, endured until the final whistle blew.
Then, the venue falls silent as everyone pays attention to the results from other locations.
After a few seconds of silence, when the results from other venues were heard, a circle of joy spread across the field.
