Q: The camp has ended and I have returned to Kodaira. How is the team's level of completion?
A, there are still many necessary things to address, but in terms of shared understanding among all members, I believe we are beginning to grasp what the coach intends. It is important to consider how we can technically express that ourselves. As a first step, I think our understanding is progressing even during practice.
Q: In a previous interview, you mentioned that "it is not enough to just be able to draw the same picture on the same side."
A. Even when the ball is on the opposite side, I think it is important to anticipate what will happen when it comes to our side and to think early on about where we need to position ourselves. I consider this very important. It's not about suddenly deciding to take a position just because the ball is nearby, but rather about reading one or two steps ahead by assuming the ball will come here, which is crucial for positioning.
Q: Regardless of the position you play, do you feel that as long as you can adapt to the tactics, there is no problem?
A, that's right. The things that must not be done are clear, so I want to express my own style in other areas. However, defensive roles are also important, so I will make sure to fulfill them properly.
Q: The opening match opponent is Kawasaki Frontale. Is there anything you are particularly aware of?
A, I don't expect everything to go well from the first match, and I think there will continue to be concerns, but I want to stick to the style of football we want to play and focus on winning.
