Q: I think we showed a good performance in the match against Jubilo Iwata, but how do you reflect on the game?
A, I reviewed the footage as well, and there are still many issues to address. In the second half, there was a scene where I stopped the ball once, then stopped it again immediately after, but I believe that by moving my teammates beforehand, we were able to eliminate the danger itself. It's not just about my saves; moving forward, I need to be more conscious of those aspects as well.
Q, can you reflect on those two consecutive saves?
A, I closed the distance while erasing the course. However, I have a feeling that the way I stopped it was not exactly as I had envisioned. If I had stopped it differently, it wouldn't have resulted in a corner kick and we could have kept possession. I believe I still haven't achieved the ideal performance I aim for. I need to train more in that area.
Q: You seem to be in very good condition, including the preseason. How do you feel about it yourself?
A, my condition is good. I think I have been able to train well since the camp, so I am ready to play in matches at any time. I believe I am competing at a high level with Kodama and Jakub SLOWIK, so I want to improve my condition even more to not lose to them. The goalkeeper position is one where chances can come suddenly, so I think I must always be prepared to play in matches.
Q: Jakub SLOWIK has also shown a wonderful performance, does it ignite any passion in you when you see that?
A, I do have that feeling, but since the first year, I have been watching Hayashi consistently perform at a high level in matches, and that situation hasn't changed even now. However, having been able to play last season but not this season, of course, there is some frustration. I want to always be someone who can protect FC Tokyo's goal, so I intend to keep working hard without giving up.
Q: What do you think your role on the pitch is when you seize an opportunity?
Regarding the build-up phase, I am confident in my play, so I hope to create a good rhythm when I have the ball. In terms of coaching, I want to give more specific instructions to be able to move my teammates effectively.
Q: I believe the expectations for goalkeepers have changed since Coach Albert took over. What efforts have been made in this regard so far?
A, I believe the required part is something simple. Therefore, I can play without overthinking, and if the goalkeeper stands out too much in terms of possession, it disrupts the team's rhythm, so I focus on ensuring the team circulates the ball smoothly.
Q: I think we are in a situation where we are hungry for matches, but I want to continue making my appeal.
A, I have the desire to play in matches and express myself, so I want to always show that from practice and demonstrate plays that convey that feeling.
