Q: The camp has ended and I have returned to Kodaira. How is the team's level of completion?
A, there are still many things that are necessary, but in terms of a common understanding among everyone, I believe we are starting to understand what the coach thinks, so I think it is important to express that technically as well. I believe that understanding as a first step is progressing even while we are practicing.
Q: In a previous interview, you mentioned that "it is not enough to just be able to draw the same picture on the same side."
I believe that when the ball is on the opposite side, it is important to predict what will happen when it comes to our side and to think early about where we need to position ourselves. I take this very seriously. Instead of suddenly positioning ourselves here just because the ball is close, it is important to read one or two steps ahead, assuming that the ball will come here... that is crucial for positioning.
Q: Regardless of the position you play, do you feel that as long as you can adapt to the tactics, there is no problem?
A, that's right. It's clear what should not be done, so I want to express my own style in other areas. However, the defensive role is also important, so I will make sure to fulfill that properly.
Q: The opening match opponent is Kawasaki Frontale. Is there anything you are particularly aware of?
I don't think things will go well from the first match, and I believe there will be concerns that arise, but I want to stick to the style of football I want to play and focus on achieving victory.
