Ryoya OGAWA Interview

Q, please review the C Osaka game.
A, until the players were sent off in the first and second half, I think we were able to play the kind of soccer we wanted to. After the players were sent off, it became a difficult game, but I'm glad we were able to win.

Q: What was the reason for being able to play the football you wanted?
A. One of the key factors was being able to quickly regain possession after losing the ball. We were able to shut down the opponent's attack early and connect it to our own attack. I think one of the reasons we were able to control the flow of the game was because we were able to switch between offense and defense, and defend from a high position in the opponent's territory.

Q, how do you think the players behind were able to move in sync?
A, I think there were parts where the players in the front line were able to press by moving up from behind, raising the line and compacting it.

Q, It seemed like we were able to induce mistakes in the opponent's build-up, but was it because we were able to apply pressure well?
A, our press was quick after losing the ball, so we were able to force many mistakes from the opponent. We were able to control the flow of the game easily.

Q, I think the remaining 30 minutes was a long time to endure, what were you conscious of?
From former coach Kenta HASEGAWA, we were good at holding on to our defense. We were also used to it, but when we were down to 10 players, I wish we had more of a mindset to keep connecting passes. When we lost a player, we started to focus on just defending, but I think it would have been better if we continued to connect passes and play in Tokyo's style. It's still a challenge, but we want to continue to improve from here on out.

Q, In the first half, it also seemed smooth to change positions while paying attention to the consciousness of the lane and the surrounding players.
While watching the positioning of Adailton and Matsuki, we decided on our standing positions to avoid overlapping as much as possible, and Morishige has been practicing his positioning to make it easier for him to pass since the training camp.

Q, Is the image of controlling the game ourselves for a long time, including possession, towards the next match?
I want to play so that I can dominate the ball and the game throughout the match.
