Q, please tell us about the process leading up to joining.
I participated in the pre-season camp and had a lot of time to think over the next two months. During that time, I strongly felt that I wanted to challenge myself in Tokyo, and I decided to join the team for the 2025 season.
Q, I think there will be some changes as it will be two seasons later when you join the team. What kind of things did the club tell you?
A, being able to play in various positions is my strength. Before deciding to join at an early timing, I had many struggles, but I have a strong desire to challenge at a high level. As for the usage method, I will do my best to be involved in the game consistently in the given position.
Q, Please tell us the reason why you chose Tokyo among various options.
A, I participated in the camp and found something that fit well within me, and I thought that Tokyo was the club that made it easy to balance soccer and studying by deciding at this timing. Tokyo was the club where my thoughts were put into action and my various intentions came together.
Q, It was impressive that there were many high-quality players in FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa, where player Yasuaki was enrolled at the time.
A, yes. The impression was that there were many players with high individual abilities. Aoki Tomoya, who played together, scored many goals in the 35th All Japan U-15 Soccer Championship sponsored by the Emperor's Cup JFA, and also participated in national team activities. Including other players, there were many players with high individual abilities.
Q, please tell us again about the characteristics of your play.
A, I don't have any outstanding abilities, but my strength lies in my consistent play and my fighting spirit, whether it's in any aspect of the game or in battles for the ball.
Q, please tell us about the player you aim to be.
I want to become a player who can lead the team to victory. I want to ignite the passion of those who watch me play. I want to bring courage and energy to the team.
Q, please tell us about wearing the same uniform as Kuryu MATSUKI (since high school) and fighting together.
I also watched Matsuki's performance during his university days. However, I am more excited about being able to play soccer with the "new Matsuki Kuryu".
Q, I think Anzai himself had a frustrating feeling that he couldn't be promoted to FC Tokyo U-18.
A, I entered high school with the regretful feeling. I was determined to aim higher from here on out. I believe that regret became the source of my growth.
Q, there was also a freshness in the appearance of playing as a side back at the camp.
A, I also played as a side back during my time at FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa, and I started as a side back in the Kanto University Soccer League at Waseda University. I see playing as a side back as one of my personal options.
Q, Do you also have a strong desire to play as a JFA/J.League designated player?
A, yes. I really want to break into the game roster and that's one of the reasons why I decided to join at this point. I want to actively appeal and get involved in the game as soon as possible.
Q, There are also players who have experienced the World Cup like Masato MORISHIGE and Yuto NAGATOMO. What do you want to learn from experienced players?
Playing with players who have fought for Japan is a valuable experience. I want to absorb their opinions based on their experiences and make them my own.
Q: What position does Yasuaki Anzai expect to play in?
A, I think the main battlefield will be at the side back. I also have experience as an inside half, wing, and side half at Waseda University. I want to keep my past experiences as an option.
Q, Is it good to have an image of a multiplayer?
A, I am not weak in receiving the ball in the center and playing a possession style. I want to receive the ball in a central position and handle it.
