Q, you have returned to the camp after recovering from your injury. How do you feel so far?
AThere are many aspects that are completely different from soccer until now, and since it requires a lot of thinking, it feels like using the head more than the body. Since we have a new coach, I believe we need to adapt to that properly.
Q What is the biggest difference from before?
AThe coach demands a lot from each play, and there are many instances where plays that were previously acceptable are now not, or points that overturn previous thinking. In that regard, it requires mental effort, and the skills must also be high to respond to it. With the change of coach, we have started doing things we didn't do before, so I believe that new elements have been added that will be beneficial both for myself and the team.
Q What is greater for Uchida, enjoyment or anxiety?
AIt's about half and half, I guess. It's a type of football I've never experienced before, so there are many unknown aspects, but on the other hand, I'm excited about what could happen if it goes well. If I can play this kind of football, it will be beneficial for me, and the excitement is significant.
Q, two years ago I was injured during the camp period, but this year I have been able to play well since the camp.
AI was frustrated that I couldn't participate from the beginning due to injury at that time, so I am happy to be able to join the camp from the start like this, and I want to improve together with everyone.
Q, please tell us your goals for the Kunigami camp.
AI don't know which position I will play, but I think it's important to clarify what I can and cannot do within that context, to work on turning my weaknesses into strengths, to achieve results in matches, and to meet the expectations of the coach.
