1/13 Training
On the second day of the Okinawa Kunigami Camp on the 13th, the first camp was officially launched at Kaigin Field Kunigami. In the morning of this day, physical tests such as the Yo-Yo test (calculating the total distance by running 20m back and forth) and the one-legged hopping test (measuring the distance of three steps of one-legged jumping) were conducted. In the afternoon, after a circuit training session, the players spent an hour and a half sweating with the ball.
And finally, on this afternoon, player Kento HASHIMOTO joined the camp. He immediately appeared on the field and even participated in some of the training on the first day.
As we meet new teammates and staff, there were many smiles as we caught up with players who knew each other from four and a half seasons ago. With the new Tokyo team members all together, we will now accelerate the process of building our team.
CAMP VOICE vol.2 Soma ANZAI
On the second day of the Okinawa Kunigami Camp, "CAMP VOICE" features Soma ANZAI, who challenged his limits in the yo-yo test. After completing the team's top score of 1,640m, ANZAI collapsed on the spot and received applause and praise from his teammates. Taking over from Kuryu MATSUKI, who played together at Aomori Yamada High School this season, ANZAI will wear the number 7 jersey in blue and red. We listened to ANZAI's words, which showed his determination through his running.
Q, it was a wonderful run.
A, I think that running is a way to prove my fighting spirit within myself. I also think that it is the easiest way for others to understand. This season, I am also approaching with determination, so I think I was able to prove that determination as well.
Q, I will wear the number 7 jersey from this season.
A, I want to lead the team with my attitude. As an individual, I feel that it is meaningless if I am not on the pitch for the opening game. I want to keep appealing for that spot. I always want to play with all my might.
Q, it is also a number that only four people have ever worn in history.
A, I also understand that it is not a light number for Tokyo. (Kuryu) MATSUKI, who wore it until midway through last season, also led the team as captain and went on a journey to Europe. There is a certain amount of pressure, but I have also understood that, and I have made up my mind to wear this number, so I want to build my own image of number 7.
Q, What kind of number 7 statue do you want to create?
A, I don't think my role will change significantly from last season. I want to prove myself by wearing the number 7 jersey, helping the team when they are struggling or when it seems like they might stop, and fighting for the team.
Q, Please tell us your personal goals for the upcoming season.
A, I believe it is important for both the team and individuals to focus on numbers. Last season's 4 goals and 2 assists were not satisfactory. This season, I want to accumulate numbers that will stand out to everyone. I want to demand that of myself no matter what position I play in.
