Okinawa Camp Report DAY11

1/22 DAY OFF

The 11th day of the Okinawa Kunigami Camp was the first off day of this camp. Each player spent their holiday in their own way and recharged their energy.

Training will resume at Kaigin Field Kunigami from tomorrow, the 23rd. As the camp reaches its halfway point, there should be an increase in preparations and identification of tasks with a focus on actual combat scenarios.
In addition, coach Rikizo MATSUHASHI refers to all players as "bundles of potential" and hopes for surprises and surprises during the game.

Not only the opening starting lineup battle, but also a sense of intense competition is expected to continue throughout the season. The blue and red team this season is strong with all players, fighting together. The message from the new coach should have reached the players as well.

FOCUS ON

Official photographer's selection of camp photo project "FOCUS ON". On the 11th day of the Okinawa Kunigami camp, Keigo HIGASHI, Yasuki KIMOTO, Koki TSUKAGAWA, and Keita YAMASHITA chose a photo of them enjoying a brief rest. They visited "Kouri Island", a remote island that can be reached by a bridge in the northern part of Okinawa Prefecture, in the village of Nakijin. They took a photo in front of a heart-shaped rock on the beach of Tinu, on the north side of the island, where lovers from all over the country visit. They were healed by the emerald green sea of Okinawa and will return to hard training and sweat from the 23rd.

"What ○○ do you want to ask the players?"

The second installment of the "Ask the Players" series, where we ask questions from the 2025 SOCIO・OFFICIAL MEMBERSHIP to the players, features Yuto NAGATOMO. The iron man, aiming for a record 5 consecutive World Cup appearances as the first Japanese player, continues to make his voice heard in the skies of Okinawa this season. In this camp, we asked NAGATOMO five questions related to his newly established jersey number and consecutive appearance record, represented by the "5 pose".
Some of the questions we have received may have been edited for formatting purposes. Please note this in advance.

Q, Who is the player to watch for Yuto NAGATOMO in Tokyo this season? (Handle name: Ikuman-san)
A, The player to watch is Marcelo RYAN. When we played against Sagan Tosu last season, he was the only player who stood out with his level of play. I am very excited to have such a player join Tokyo and play together.

Q, Did you score goals last season as well? Will you actively aim for goals this season as well? (Handle name: Maachan-san)
A, Of course. Scoring goals is special, so I don't want to be satisfied with just 2 goals from last season and want to aim for more this season.

Q, Do you have any thoughts or feelings behind wearing the number 5? (Handle name: Minachin-san)
A, Rather than having any specific thoughts or feelings, it's a number I've been wearing since I was a rookie. By continuing to wear it, it has become a part of me and has become my lucky number. This season, I am wearing the number 5, with the intention of participating in the 5th consecutive Club World Cup.

Q, How can I obtain the physical and mental strength like player Yuto NAGATOMO? (Handle name: Bravo!!! Akaaka Tamashii!!!)
A, I believe it is by practicing more than anyone else. By doing so, your body will become stronger and your mental strength will also grow by doing what you need to do.

Q, What kind of season do you want? (Handle name: Naosuke-san)
A, I want to win the title in Tokyo. That is my ultimate goal. To achieve that, I want to contribute to the team with all my might. Also, there will be activities for the Japan national team leading up to the World Cup, so I believe there will be opportunities to showcase my skills before the main tournament. I will approach it with the best condition.
