Interview with Kuryu MATSUKI

Q: There is one day left in the camp. How do you feel reflecting on the camp?
A, it was quite challenging to join midway, but I believe that both individually and as a team, we are gradually establishing the style of football that Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA aims for as we head towards the opening match.

Q: Did you manage to blend in smoothly with the team?
A, that's right. The seniors were very kind, and I was able to fit in quickly.

Q: Having teammates like Kajiura and Yasuda who are from the same generation must have been reassuring, right?
A, they have been good friends for a long time and are in the same cohort, so I found them reliable.

Q: How does it feel to play as a professional?
A, it is always a competitive environment where I compete for playing opportunities, but I cannot hold back on that. My goal this year is to "contribute the most to the team," so I want to focus on creating good conditions and working in a way that benefits the team.

Q: Do you talk with your seniors about preparations for the opening?
A, I am not particularly talking about that point. As a professional, I want to quickly stand on the pitch and play soccer in front of the fans and supporters, and I believe that playing enjoyable soccer is the new way of Tokyo, so I am working to contribute to that.

Q: How do you feel about the challenges and progress you've made so far?
I feel a sense of achievement. Personally, there are still many areas where I am not performing well, but I believe that as I get used to it, I will gradually improve in those areas. I am also getting accustomed to the pace of play, so I think I should play confidently and boldly.
