Q: With less than two weeks until the opening match, preparations are reaching their final stages. Is the understanding of the team's tactics progressing?
A, in terms of adapting to moving to a new team, I was warmly welcomed, so it was very easy to blend in. I recognize that my understanding of tactics is improving day by day.
Q: How do you understand the role that Henrique is expected to play within the team's tactics?
First, I want to control the defensive line properly. Then, I would like to contribute to the build-up phase as well. Throughout the season, I will continue to communicate with my teammates both on and off the pitch to share ideas. Finally, I want to contribute solidly in defense.
Q: You came to Japan in the 2020 season and played in the J-League for a full season. It seems that this season, being your second, will have an effect in terms of getting used to it.
I believe that the experience of playing in Japan last season is a significant advantage. For me, I don't think what I do on the field will change, so coming to this historically significant team in my second season, I feel that I can leverage the Japanese style and experience I gained in my first season.
Q: Since players who originally played in Tokyo are also working on new soccer, it is necessary for the entire team to actively communicate, regardless of new players.
In Tokyo, there are Brazilian players every season, so Japanese players understand a little Portuguese. They try to communicate by mixing a bit of Japanese, a bit of Portuguese, and a bit of English.
Q: Jakub SLOWIK often coaches in Japanese, doesn't he?
A, of course I can hear you well (laughs). I understand both Japanese and English.
Q: Please share your enthusiasm for the opening match.
I believe we are currently in the process of becoming a bigger team, and I think it is gradually going well. I have a strong feeling of excitement for the preseason, and I want to have a good season by winning against strong teams.
