[Player/Coach Comments]

Ready to face the first match of the ACL group stage with a fighting spirit in the away game!

Tokyo, Ha DAESUNG is out of the squad. As a result, the formation is DF on the right with Tokunaga, and on the left with Komano. In midfield, there is a double pivot of Hashimoto and Yonemoto, with Mizunuma and Higashi on the wings. Abe and Maeda are the two forwards. Jeonbuk's formation is a 4-3-3 with MF Patral as the anchor.

The match started with a kickoff from Jeonbuk. Both teams showed a focused approach and fought hard, but the game remained in a back-and-forth battle.

16 minutes: Higashi breaks through the front line and receives a through pass from Maeda, who drops back. Although it was cut off, Mizunuma follows up and Higashi moves up to a high position on the right front line and crosses. Maeda is in the near post area, and Abe follows up from the center, but they are shut down by the tough defense of Jeonbuk's DF.

21 minutes: Komano is forced to make a substitution due to an injury... As a result, Kono moves to defensive midfield and Hashimoto moves to right back. Tokunaga shifts to the left.
Yukino made his first official appearance in Tokyo after returning last season.

26 minutes: Following, Jeonbuk FW Ricardo Lopez is pushed into the goal by Tokyo DF, but manages to escape to the right corner kick just before a decisive shot.

35 minutes have passed: We had a good start to the game, but we are unable to finish against Jeonbuk's intense defense. After Komano's accident, our pressing gradually weakened and during this time, we are often pushed back by Jeonbuk.

39 minutes: A mistake was made when trying to attack from their own territory, and the ball was taken by Jeonbuk. They were unable to stop the passing work centered around FW Ricardo Lopez in the center. They drew in Tokyo DF and expanded to the left area. Jeonbuk FW Komuyol's shot, which was free, went over Akimoto's outstretched hand and into the far net... They were decisively scored on and conceded the first goal.

Fought until the end with all our hearts, but lost 1-2.

47 minutes: A counter attack is launched, with Mizunuma in the center moving to the right side. Abe, who has moved up, sends a perfect cross between the GK and DF. Yonemoto makes a run but just misses the ball, showing persistence as the ball goes to the former East side. East changes the timing to avoid the DF and takes a decisive shot, but it is saved...

49 minutes: Jeonbuk's FW Kim Yo-ryul breaks through vertically on the left front line and crosses from a high position to the right area. DF Kim Chang-soo jumps in and also creates a decisive opportunity, but the shot goes wide.

56 minutes: Right throw-in, Robert drops it with one touch in the center, and Lori runs in and advances with a speedy dribble. She dodges the opposing DF who meets her at the edge of the area and takes a decisive shot, but... it narrowly misses the top of the bar.

61 minutes: From the left throw-in, Yukino from the front line → center sends it to the right, and Hashimoto who has energetically moved up in the middle takes a powerful shot. It was blocked by the GK, but they won a left corner kick.
However, the finish cannot be made from this CK and it is brought to a counter by Jeonbuk.

77 minutes: Hashimoto's foul is judged as a yellow card, giving a free kick to Jeonbuk.
Nathan BURNS replaces Mizunuma here.

78 minutes: A low, powerful header from FW Kim Shin-wook, who met a cross from the left side of the area, sent in from the outside. It was on target, but Akimoto made a great save! The rebound fell to FW Lee Dong-gook, but he couldn't react in time and his shot went wide.

83 minutes: Tokyo is pushed back by Jeonbuk, and FW Kim Shin-wook's vertical pass hits Tokyo DF and becomes loose in the area. Tokyo is unable to react to this. MF I Je-seong on the right side makes a last pass to FW Lee Dong-gook, who is free on the left. Lee Dong-gook skillfully controls the ball and slides past Tokyo DF, then shoots with his right foot. A beautiful shot that finds its way into the goal, and Tokyo concedes their second goal...

87 minutes: Picking up the second ball, Abe quickly moves forward and with a one-two with Maeda, Abe gains speed and moves up to the front line! He breaks through to the left area, controls the shot and sinks it into the net for a GOAL!!

Additional time: Despite facing a wave of attacks in front of the goal, the DF line, led by Akimoto, puts their bodies on the line and does not allow a third goal!
There were also scenes where they were hit by a wave of attacks, but everyone threw themselves out to defend. The first match of the ACL group stage ended in a 1-2 defeat.
