[Player/Coach Comments]
"Makoto OKAZAKI"
(Looking back on the match)
"There were times when we were pushed back by the opponent throughout the 90 minutes, and it was a difficult game, but it was good that we were able to win firmly. Above all, I think it's a big deal that we were able to advance to the next stage of the Emperor's Cup."
(In the second half, I changed my position from side back to center back)
"I was able to play without feeling uncomfortable even after moving to the center. In the first half, I was a side back so I was particularly careful at the start, but I think we were able to bring out each other's strengths by playing with Uchida on the left side."
(Experienced overseas tournaments with Japan national team by generation. What I became more aware of is)
"To have a strong consciousness in winning the ball. I also don't want to lose in ball battles in the J-League."
Through international tournaments, it was also significant to regain the ability to fight for 90 minutes and maintain physical strength. I feel that being able to experience international tournaments as a representative has allowed me to maintain my condition even with a tight schedule in the league, Emperor's Cup, and Levain Cup.
(For the future)
"It's important to see how we can fight in the position of chasing the top. By making appeals as young players and intensifying competition within the team, I think the team's condition will improve even more, so we want to build it up from practice."
"Takuya UCHIDA"
(Looking back at the goal scene)
"Okazaki made a throw-in, and Yajima made a good drop, so all I had to do was calmly score inside."
(It was a goal while competing with the opponent)
"I was honestly worried if it would go in, but I was really happy when it did."
(I feel like I've been climbing up each step one by one)
"I haven't been able to play in the league yet, so I want to aim for that and continue to do more and more to achieve results such as goals and assists."
(I think I approached the game with a strong mindset today)
"Last year and this year, there were times when I missed opportunities due to injuries, so being able to receive chances like this and produce results was a challenge since last year. Being able to achieve that, I think it was a huge accomplishment for both myself and the team."
"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"Kiryoin Yokohama University was truly an amazing team."
We sent our players onto the pitch with the utmost respect, ready to give it their all and fight with all the strength we have.
I wanted to push the opponent more in the first 15 minutes, but we couldn't do that and we also got a little flustered.
I think it was a huge advantage for Uchida to score the first goal in the second half.
The Emperor's Cup 2nd Round is filled with tough matches. If we could have scored one more goal, there would have been nothing to say, but we couldn't quite finish and the spirit of Kiriokiyokohama University came out, making it a difficult game until the end.
The members who played today fought until the end with a strong determination to show their strength in this match, and as a result, we were able to win without conceding any points.
I think the strength of the Kanto Division 1 team is considerable, and I believe they came into this match with great determination, so we were able to have a fantastic game.
"I want to use this experience and prepare to win the next 3rd round as well."
(Did you see what I wanted the team to express in today's lineup from the coach's perspective?)
"I think there were parts we did well and parts we still need to work on."
However, I think Nakamura has been growing little by little through today's match and the Levain Cup, and Okazaki and Watanabe played calmly until the end.
Regarding Niwa, his performance hasn't been improving much until now, but I think he did a good job until he was substituted today.
In that sense, I think it will be exciting in the future if players like Yajima can score in games like this, but today we couldn't take advantage of our chances, so I hope for even more growth in the future."
"Kiryu Yokohama University Coach Yasutake An Interview Purpose"
"I am happy to have been able to play against a J-League team. As a university student, I was able to put up a minimum fight. In the match against the top team in the J1 League, I also felt the parts that were lacking and I think it was a good learning experience for the players, so I want to use this experience to continue growing."
"I also want to be able to fight firmly there because there is a league match."
(What was the intention behind the starting members of FC Tokyo, which was difficult to understand?)
"We didn't think about how to attack the opponent or anything like that. We talked about playing our own soccer by firmly demonstrating what we usually do and approached the game."
