[Player/Coach Comments]
"Leandro"
(Looking back on today's battle)
"Today's battle was difficult because the opponent was playing defensively."
"But even so, the whole team persevered and attacked together, and we were able to win 3 points together."
(In terms of perseverance, I think I also made a big contribution on the defensive side)
"As one of the characteristics of my playing style, there is a part of hard work. In terms of contributing to the team, I was able to contribute in the form of a goal today. In addition, I think it is most important to fight for the team in various ways and to secure victory."
(Looking back at the goal scene)
"I passed to player Julian who was free in the penalty area and asked for a return. I don't remember much about that scene, but I had an image in mind. Today's match was really difficult, but I'm really happy that I was able to score and win."
(I think I was playing for the result)
"I am playing for the team. I think that everything is connected to victory as a result."
(Regarding the relationship with Diego OLIVEIRA and Adailton)
"I think we have been able to communicate well and build a good shape. We are able to stimulate each other, so I want to continue this."
"Shuto ABE"
"In the first half, it was a difficult development as we were unable to attack as we wanted, but gradually we were able to play our own football from the middle of the first half and were able to make fast attacks from the second half. If we were able to sprint vertically and move the ball more from the first half, it would have been better to play our own football."
(Scene of the assist to Leandro, who scored the winning goal)
"At first, I made a run and received a pass from Leandro. I kept the ball and when I looked up, I saw Ogawa making a run inside and Leandro was free. I was thinking of trapping the ball and crossing it, but he showed his usual boldness. I didn't expect him to shoot from that angle, but I felt that his boldness led to the goal."
(It was a goal that we went to score as a team and took away)
"As expected, we wanted to score since it was our home game. It was reassuring to have players like Morishige and Watanabe defending behind us."
(About the play of Konno, a classmate)
"By having a player like that come in from the middle of the second half, the gear goes up and the opponent also feels uncomfortable. I think that the team gets on board when a player who comes in from the middle gets energized, and that leads to a goal."
(Still a short period of time, but the combination with the front line players is good)
"I have been able to play well with Leandro and the other players since practice. I am able to use what I have been working on in practice in the game. However, there are still scenes where the ball does not connect due to my own mistakes, so I want to focus on that."
(After playing 3 ACL matches, looking back and looking ahead)
"Now that the J1 League is starting, I want to prepare well for the long battle ahead. I want to work hard to always be able to start and to be able to grab victories."
"Tokyo - Manager Kenta HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"I am grateful that over 7,000 fans and supporters came to support us on a weekday Tuesday."
We knew it would be a very difficult opponent from before the match. We spent a week thinking about how to break through the goal. As a result, we couldn't easily score and couldn't create any big chances. The opponent was also good at ball possession, but we didn't let them create many dangerous scenes.
I think it was good that we were able to fight without rushing throughout the match. Also, player Konno came in from the middle and changed the flow. We were able to create a time zone to push the opponent, and I think it led to Leandro's opening goal in the end.
"I thought it was important to use the substitution slot well as a coach and proceed with the game, so I was able to get 3 points at home somehow, and I think it was really good."
(What instructions were given for the second half)
"In the first half, the midfielders tended to be too deep."
He often plays in front of the opponent's midfield even when attacking, and he couldn't move forward easily when trying to put pressure. I wanted him to play more aggressively in that aspect.
If we could put more pressure, maybe we wouldn't have been passed around so much in the first half.
I thought that even if the defense line became the same number, I should go back with all my strength if I was taken out by putting pressure on.
In the second half, I think we were able to communicate well and respond well. There were some scenes where we were taken by the ball, but we were able to respond firmly in front of the goal. We were able to connect good defense to good offense."
"Summary of Perth Glory, Tony Popovic's Press Conference"
"As a coach, there are times when you feel that the opponent was stronger and leave the pitch after losing a soccer match. However, when looking back at our performance this time, I do not think that was the case. Despite it being our first time competing in the ACL, the players fought with all their might. The game itself was also a battle towards victory for all the players, so we will not look down and instead focus on the next match."
(There may have been changes in schedule and various other things leading up to the ACL, but how was this expedition?)
"We are grateful for the kind support from everyone in Japan. We were also able to focus on football. We have no complaints about our stay in Japan."
(About Tokyo's measures and analysis)
"Tokyo also put pressure, but I think we were pressing more until we conceded a goal. Leandro scored a wonderful goal, which was a scene that showed the quality of Tokyo. We should have at least grabbed a draw."
There were also one-on-one scenes with GK, but we couldn't score. However, being able to play against a strong team like today will lead to our confidence in the future."
