[Player/Coach Comments]

"Kojiro YASUDA"
(He made his starting lineup debut, what was the process?)
"I have been participating in practice for a while now, and I was able to play in the second half of the Levain Cup Oita game. I think I was able to leave something behind there."
During practice, I gradually gained the trust of the players around me, so I think that was the reason for becoming a starter.

(How was your individual performance?)
"There were a few scenes where I was able to make some moves when I had the ball, but they didn't result in a goal."
"We made a lot of mistakes, so that is something we need to work on and build upon in the future. I want to become a player who can help the team win in any situation."

(What kind of play do you think you will need in the future?)
"Today, I played as a left side half, but I think it will be necessary to be more aggressive and work with other players to go inside."
"Today, there were many scenes where I lost the ball while trying to break through on my own, so I want to play more by using my teammates and also be active myself."

"Yojiro TAKAHAGI"
(Entered the game in a situation where we had to defend, but what did you focus on?)
"I wanted to collect clear balls and opponent's long balls and create time for both offense and defense, but we couldn't create those situations easily."
"I wish I could have collected it at my own place a little more."

(I think we were pushed by the opponent's momentum for the remaining 10 minutes, but the reason was)
"I think the biggest factor was that we couldn't keep possession of the ball when the opponent came strong in the duels and second balls."

(How do you feel about the defeat against the university team?)
"It's not because they were university students that we entered the game with a certain mindset, and it's not like we played with a condescending attitude. It's just really frustrating to lose to any opponent."

(Towards Levain Cup and J-League)
"First of all, we cannot go back from losing, so we will switch our focus to the next Levain Cup and prepare for it."
If you make a lot of balls 50-50, I think there will be chances for any opponent. First of all, you have to make sure not to lose in the ball contest, including the mental aspect.
I think each player has their own judgment during the game, so it will be important to adjust to that during the game."

"Tokyo - Manager Masaru HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"I take this loss seriously and believe it is the responsibility of the coach."
I think each player fought with their own feelings.
It was difficult to win with just one point, and we were unable to create the momentum to score additional points.
I want to praise the efforts of the players from Juntendo University.
"We cannot win in the league with just one point, so we need to explore attacking combinations for the next Levain Cup."

(Intention of substituting Diego OLIVEIRA)
"I substituted him with the intention of scoring another goal and securing the game, as I believed we could win if we scored one more."

(The reason for the 1-1 tie)
"We had chances until the end, and we tried to close the game in the last 5 minutes by making player substitutions, but we couldn't close it properly."

(Some players who played in the extension may have been unexpected, but the impact on the weekend's Levain is)
"I don't think there will be much impact because we didn't play for a long time. However, it's been three days since the last game, so I want to decide based on each player's condition."

(If we lose, this is the way it will go, but after fighting for 120 minutes, this is my impression)
"I knew that if the students could seize an opportunity like today, they would be able to demonstrate their extra strength, so I thought it would be dangerous if we didn't score another goal in the second half. I wanted to put in Diego and Mita to score an additional goal and decide the game, but unfortunately, a shot went in at the very end and it went into extra time. This was unexpected, but even if it happened, we had Adailton on the field and a team that could win in a shootout, so it was a disappointing result that we couldn't score an additional goal in that situation."
I think the players of Juntendo University fought with great passion. It was a very frustrating loss to lose to college students for the first time as a coach, and it also made me realize my own weakness that we couldn't deliver a victory to the fans and supporters who came to the game during the COVID-19 pandemic.

(The importance of Levain increased after losing in the Emperor's Cup)
"Losing in the Emperor's Cup does not mean that the importance increases. We gave it our all and ended up losing."
"Since we couldn't win in the first match, we want to use all of our strength and fight."

"Juntendo University, Manager Takumi Horiike Press Conference Summary"
"I didn't think we would be able to play against Tokyo in the 2nd round today under Coach Hasegawa. It might have been the most exciting for me personally."
We have players from Tokyo, and there were players who couldn't make it to the top, but they had the feeling of "let's come back in 4 years" and I invited them. Hasegawa, Terayama, and Kobayashi fought with their hearts. Even when we were behind, we were able to fight without giving up, and I think both the players and the team gained a lot from that.
I thought there was something infinite to gain if we won. I understood my position in a serious match. The players said that there was nothing to lose even if we lost, so it was good that we were able to do it without giving up.
There is a university league, but there is also the Levain Cup in the J-League.
"I think winning while the top players were talking about letting them play in the game will give us confidence for the future."
