[Player and Coach Comments]

We want to regain momentum by taking 3 points.

In Sec. 21, we will face Cerezo Osaka at home in the National Stadium. Although we suffered a painful shutout loss against Shimizu in the previous match, neither Coach Kuramata nor the players are looking down. This is a match we want to conclude the four-game series with a victory and regain our momentum.

It will be a match three days after the game against Shimizu, with one of those days being a day off, allowing the players to refresh themselves. In addition, Coach Kuramata stated, "There must be accumulated fatigue. However, I want them to push through one more time," pledging to give their all in today's match. Unfortunately, Moniwa has injured his left thigh. Tokunaga is suspended, so the center-back will be Masushima, and the right side-back will be Inoha. Abe will make his first start of the season as left midfielder. They will approach the game with a 4-5-1 formation, placing Akamine at the forefront.

C Osaka currently has 2 wins, 4 draws, and 14 losses, remaining at the bottom of the league. However, ahead of Sec. 18, MF Namie has joined from Iwata. He has not started in the last three matches, but today, with FW Okubo and DF Bruno QUADROS suspended, he is in the starting lineup. Coach Kuramata stated, "The team is different with or without Namie. The possession rate is clearly different," and expressed caution regarding Namie's ball retention and passing. While taking care of Namie, it will be important to target FW Nishizawa and suppress the fast movements coming from around him.

C Osaka is listed as 3-5-2 in the lineup, but with MF Yamazaki as the left side back. FW Nishizawa is placed at the forefront, with FW Furuhashi on the left of the second line, MF Morishima on the right, and Nagai in the center, forming a nearly identical 4-5-1 formation to Tokyo. They aim to simply break through with quick transitions from the sides, while Ishikawa and Abe also cut inside aggressively to induce mismatches in the opponent's defense and create scoring opportunities. They aim for victory with an active challenge!

Conceded a goal early on, equalized with a penalty but couldn't find the rhythm

The daytime rain has cleared, and the temperature at the Japan National Stadium is comfortable. A special match between U-15 Musashi and U-15 Fukagawa was held starting at 5:15pm. Despite it being a weekday, it attracted an audience of 21,041, and the match kicked off at 7:04pm with C Osaka's kickoff.

The match suddenly came to life. In the 2nd minute, C Osaka midfielder Namikawa delivered a left cross to forward Nishizawa, who headed the ball. The ball hit the post, but it was headed in by midfielder Kawamura, resulting in a goal. C Osaka was already in a position to chase the game. Nevertheless, Tokyo, led by Ishikawa, Inoha, and Kajiyama, launched a counterattack. In the 8th minute, Inoha dribbled up to the end line and won a right corner kick. In the 12th minute, they initiated a quick attack starting with Lucas, and Inoha delivered a right cross. Ishikawa, who ran into the center, trapped the ball with his chest but couldn't take a shot. In the 15th minute, from Inoha's right cross, Akamine attempted a header, but it went to the left.

In the 18th minute, from Inoha's right throw-in, Akamine was fouled in the area after reacting to Lucas's floating pass, earning a penalty kick. Lucas calmly converted this penalty, leveling the score. They wanted to build momentum from this, but perhaps due to fatigue from consecutive matches, their movements lacked sharpness, and they couldn't find their rhythm. Instead, they allowed C Osaka to dominate. In the 38th minute, C Osaka's MF Namikawa made a move in the right area and passed back to the center. There, MF Kawamura attacked and shot. The rebound was kept by Namikawa again, and DF Fujimoto, who came up from the right, crossed... launching a wave of attacks, but this was well defended in front of the goal.

In stoppage time, a decisive moment was created. Taking advantage of a mistake by the opponent's defense line, Abe passed to Lucas, who directly returned it to Abe. Abe dribbled into the left area and found himself one-on-one with the GK, but his shot was blocked by the GK's foot, preventing him from scoring. Conversely, from this situation, a counterattack occurred, and a free kick was awarded to C Osaka in front of the Tokyo goal. MF Furuhashi aimed directly at the left side of the goal, but Doi saved it with one hand! Shortly after, the time was up, and the match returned to the second half with the score still tied.
