Facing tough opponent Omiya at the first NACK5 Stadium match!
In the 10th round of the league, we will face Omiya Ardija away. In the previous round against Oita, we fought for 90 minutes with composure and achieved victory. In this round as well, we must endure and at the same time, we want to extend our time zone as much as possible and aim for a victory. Even though it is an away game, we will stick to Tokyo's soccer and aim to gain 3 points to stay in the top position.
This round, the center backs will be Shigeno and Fujiyama, with Asari playing as the central defensive midfielder. Kondo will also return from injury and make the bench for the first time since the opening game. Meanwhile, Ikegami will also be on the bench, but Bruno QUADROS will be out of action due to a foot injury.
Omiya, on the other hand, is currently in 6th place with 4 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses. In the league, they have been on a 5-game unbeaten streak and are in good form. In the previous match against G Osaka, they achieved a come-from-behind victory, and the team's atmosphere should be good. In addition to their solid defense, this season under new coach Yasuhiro HIGUCHI, they have been playing a fluid style of soccer, connecting passes and creating chances. They have also shown resilience against top teams such as Urawa and Kashima, gaining confidence. Coach Jofuku also warns that they are "the most formidable opponent, with even more confidence in their attacking game."
Omiya will be without FW Yoshihara and MF Saito, but they need to be careful of FW Dennis Marques' dribbling and the movement of the opposing attacking players who come out between the DFs. Even if Omiya is dominated by the ball, they should not panic and instead wait for a chance to counterattack. In past matches, they have often been "beaten" by power plays and set plays in the final minutes. It will certainly be a tough opponent, and it will be a fight where they cannot let their guard down until the end. However, if they prioritize balance and quickly switch from defense to offense, they should be able to exploit any weaknesses. Stay calm and read the flow of the game, and never give up in the fight for victory!
The rain that had been falling since the day before stopped before the match, and it was humid at NACK5 Stadium Omiya. The match started at 2:05 PM with a kickoff from Tokyo.
Despite allowing Omiya to dominate, Kajiyama scores his first goal! Cabore takes the second point.
From the start, Omiya has been launching strong attacks while connecting passes. Shortly after the start, Omiya left MF Kanazawa advances and crosses. Fujiyama clears the ball, but MF Kanazawa takes it back and shoots. In the 6th minute, Murayama, Omiya's right fullback, advances and tries to break through the area with a one-two with right MF Kobayashi, but Nagatomo holds him back. Tokyo calmly responds, with Shioda making saves and Fujiyama making sharp interceptions. Shigeki also defends persistently and there were no decisive chances. In the 13th minute, they were pressed in the midfield and Omiya FW Pedro Junior broke through to the left area, but Fujiyama also closed in on the shot and Shioda made a sharp save by jumping out.
When they steal the ball, Tokyo quickly switches and aims for the back of the Omiya DF, turning the tables. In the 15th minute, Shigetaka Morino passes a long pass to the front line, with Fujiyama opening to the right. Kajiyama then jumps out from the midfield to the drop point of the ball and heads it in. The ball flies over the goalkeeper's head and into the net, giving Kajiyama his first goal of the season and taking the lead!
After that, both teams continued to attack each other. In the 16th minute, Omiya FW Dennis Marques dribbled the ball and took a strong shot from the right area, but Shioda made a save. In the 19th minute, Akamine dropped Shioda's kick and Cabore and passed it back to Cabore, who broke through the left area again. He tried to shake off the defenders with his speed, but the shot missed. In the 20th minute, Kurisawa tenaciously connected with Nagatomo's left cross, and Imakawa took a shot from the middle, but it went wide. In the 22nd minute, Omiya MF Ohashi Da entered the right area. He was given a decisive minus pass in front of the goal, but FW Pedro Junior couldn't finish it. They escaped from danger.
25 minutes, Kajiyama's pass from inside the Omiya team is initially blocked by the DF, but he recovers the loose ball and advances to the front line, taking a controlled shot. It narrowly misses over the bar, but in the 32nd minute, Shioda's kick to the front line goes over the heads of Akamine and the opposing DF, finding space behind them. Cabore makes a run and with one touch, he reads the opposing GK's movement and takes a looping shot! Omiya's attack targeting the space behind the DF is successful, taking advantage of the opponent's vulnerability and scoring 2 goals to end the first half.
