[Player and Coach Comments]

The 2016 Meiji Yasuda J3 League has also kicked off, and today marks the fourth match.

FC Tokyo U-23's home game, which started with a very tough three-game losing streak, will be held at AJINOMOTO FIELD NISHIGAOKA.
Tokyo continues with Enomoto as GK, Komano as DF, and Kajiyama as MF in the lineup following the last match.
And, FW Hayashi has made his first appearance in the squad this season, partnering with Nakajima in a two-top formation.
Additionally, Nozawa will join as a center-back and form a partnership with Okazaki.
Kataller Toyama has secured 7th place with 1 win and 2 draws, accumulating points without any losses up to Sec. 3.
The match kicked off with Tokyo Ball aiming for their first victory in pleasant weather.

[First Half]
The score changes early on.
In the 4th minute, when facing forward in the midfield, a momentary movement from the interplay allowed the opponent to get behind the DF line, resulting in a through pass.
Tokyo's Yanagi fiercely competes with the opposing FW but allows the first goal after being outmuscled.
In the 14th minute, they broke through the center and took a half-volley shot, but thanks to Enomoto's great save, no additional goals were allowed.
Tokyo gradually regained composure from this time, starting to control the ball centered around Kajiyama and Nakajima.
Toyama formed a compact block and looked for chances from counterattacks.
In the 19th minute, Nakajima received the ball in the center of the opponent's half, and Hiraoka broke through between two opposing defenders to receive a through pass and advanced down the right side.
Hiraoka delivered a cross to the far side, but Hayashi jumped in only to have the cross caught by the GK.
Tokyo, which has begun to find its rhythm, creates opportunities from the right side with Hiraoka's characteristic speed, while from the left side, Komano, Insoo YU, and Yukino work together to break through.
However, they bring the ball to the vital area, but they struggle to break through the solid block.
Occasionally, Toyama tries to build up play, but Hayashi at the front applies pressure and does not allow the flow.
Then, Hayashi makes consecutive attempts to approach the goal.
In the 40th minute, Komano aimed for a header from the cross.
In the 42nd minute, he received an early cross from Yanagi on the right side and, after a one-touch trap, his shot unfortunately hit the left side netting.
Dominating the match but unable to score, they ended the first half at 0-1.

【Halftime】
Coach Anma's Comments
"Defense is about stopping the opponent's speed. We are creating chances, so let's continue. Let's enter the game with confidence."

[Second Half]
Both teams faced the second half without making any player substitutions.
Tokyo entered the game with an aggressive start, just like in the first half. Right after the start, Yanagi and Hiraoka created a play on the right side, connecting to Kajiyama.
Kajiyama delivered a low early cross to Nakajima in the center, who, while holding off an opponent, controlled the ball with his chest, drifted to the right, and took a shot, but it went straight to the goalkeeper.
In the 47th minute, Komano took a left corner kick to the far side. The ball flowed through, and Kajiyama picked it up.
Nakajima connects this to Hayashi on the far side, but the DF clears it. Nakajima picks up the loose ball and takes a powerful mid-range shot, but the opposing DF blocks it with their body.
As they struggle to break through the goal, the momentum shifts to Toyama.
However, the Tokyo defense remained focused, and although they were caught out on the right side in the 55th minute, Nozawa stepped up to cover with his body.
The battle for control continues with intense back-and-forth in the midfield.
Here, Tokyo replaces Insoo YU with Yamada.
Position Nozawa as a defensive midfielder, move Yukino to the left side to add variation to the attack and aim for a goal.
In the 65th minute, a near miss was created, but Okazaki desperately blocked it, preventing an additional goal.
In the 77th minute, starting to regain control, a free kick from slightly right of center in front of the goal, about 20 meters away.
This allows them to score directly in the left corner, conceding an additional goal.
Tokyo tried to counter by bringing in Sasaki and Matsuoka, but just after the substitution, in the 84th minute, they conceded a goal from a free kick on the left side that was converted at the far post.
Despite bravely pushing forward to score until the end, they were unable to break through Toyama's solid defense and lost 0-3.

Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
We appreciate your continued warm support.

【Summary of Coach Anma's Press Conference】
"After the match against Akita, we have given ourselves the challenge of improving the quality of our attacks, such as delivering the final cross and taking shots after pushing the opponent deep. I think it was good that players like Hayashi showed a strong attitude by executing heading shots and crosses from dribbles throughout the 90 minutes. However, finishing without scoring means we need to enhance our quality further, communicate what we are doing well and what we are not, and continue to support FC Tokyo in a way that benefits the team."
Defensively, there was an opponent with speed, player Koke, and without player Yoshimoto this match, we reviewed footage in advance to prepare for a player with individual strength. However, we struggled to keep up with the pace at the start of the game. As the match progressed, I think we were able to physically challenge that speed, which was a significant gain throughout these 90 minutes.
It is good that there has been a lot of growth during such matches, but I want to convey that we need to seriously accept the fact that we have lost four consecutive games and prepare for the next match over the course of a week.
Overall, it was good that we did not concede consecutive goals after going down 0-1. Until the 77th minute when we conceded from a free kick, we continued to challenge while maintaining possession of the ball from the sides and the center, and I believe we were able to control the game better compared to the match in Sec. 2 where we conceded consecutive goals.

【Player Comments】
《Nakajima》
"As an individual, I focused on increasing opportunities while utilizing my teammates. I want to not only create plays but also receive the ball and advance it, so I can get back into the goal area again. (As a team, are we heading in a good direction with each match?) I believe we are, but there are reasons for our losses, and we must seriously confront our issues and what we lack. First and foremost, we must not concede goals, so I want to work on this diligently."
