[Player/Coach Comments]

The venue for this match is 'Yumenoshima Stadium' in Koto Ward.

FC Tokyo U-23, who had fallen to last place with 4 consecutive losses since the opening, faced Gamba Osaka U-23, who are also participating in the league as a U-23 team, in their match.
The weather was so bad with strong winds raging across the country that the game was in danger of being cancelled before it even started.
Tokyo's starting eleven has Watanabe as the starting GK since Sec. 2.
The DF line consists of Takahashi, who has been starting since Sec. 2, and Okazaki, who has been playing in every game as a registered player, forming a CB combination. Yagi is at right SB and Nozawa is at left SB.
In the midfield, U-23 debut starter Sho Sasaki and Yukino Kono are positioned at the bottom, with Hirao and Nakajima on the left and right respectively.
The front line deployed a 4-4-2 formation with Hayashi and Insoo YU.
Bridges, who also played in the J1 Kawasaki game the day before, made his first appearance for FC Tokyo U-23 on the bench.
Gamba Osaka U-23, with veteran Niikawa in the starting lineup, has Koya, who has scored 2 goals in 2 games, leading the front line.
The rain may weaken, but the strong winds with a maximum gust of 30 meters continue to rage as the Tokyo kickoff begins.

[First Half]

Tokyo started downwind.
Osaka takes control of the game.
In the 4th minute of the game, a direct free kick is taken from the right side. The sharp shot hits the crossbar.
In the 6th minute, a cross was sent in from the left side to the center, and a shot was taken from a series of precise passes, but the goalkeeper made a great save.
Tokyo also launches a counterattack in the unsettled game development where both teams struggle with ball control.
24 minutes, Yagi drops a cross from the right side to Hayashi in front of the goal, but Hayashi's first shot for Tokyo is saved by the GK.
In addition, at 25 minutes, Nakajima turns forward in the left side midfield and sends a vertical pass. Hayashi then avoids the sliding of the opposing DF and breaks through.
Sasaki, who has entered the center, passes to Sasaki and advances into the PA. Although Sasaki's decisive shot connected to Hirayama is blocked by the opponent's GK, Sasaki thought he had scored the first goal by pushing in the rebound, but it was ruled offside.
Tokyo successfully takes the lead despite being attacked.
In the 28th minute, Nakajima passed to Hayashi in the center and shook the net with a header after earning a right corner kick.
The game started with an early development and I thought we had grasped the flow, but Osaka took control of the game.
Threatened by a goal from a free kick in the 29th minute, and then in the 32nd minute, a vertical pass from the midfield was connected to the right side, and a shot was taken diagonally, but the defense stood in the way.
However, at the 34th minute, they were able to create an opportunity by making a vertical pass in the midfield and expanding to the right side. This allowed for a vertical entry.
Equalized with a volley from a cross from the opponent's counterattack.
After that, the game remained stagnant and despite Osaka having 8 shots compared to Tokyo's 3, they efficiently scored a goal and ended the first half with a score of 1-1.

[Halftime]

Manager Yasuma's Comment
"Focus on winning the ball. Let's be conscious of victory above all else. Let's play good soccer and have confidence."

[Second Half]

The second half, with the clouds cleared and the sun shining.
Tokyo substitutes Hashimoto for Sasaki. This will activate the midfield even more.
Tokyo, standing upwind, will take control of the game.
However, lacking accuracy in the last pass, I cannot bring it to the finish.
As the back-and-forth battle continues, Tokyo makes a change by substituting in Ikeda for Ikeda.
In the 72nd minute, Nakajima aimed a direct free kick with no spin, but narrowly missed the goal.
Then in the 79th minute, they were caught off guard by a pass mistake in their own half, but showed sharp reactions to deal with the danger.
In addition, in the 80th minute, the opponent broke through the back from a long pass and took a shot from the near side after a cutback, but the goalkeeper made a great save again.
As the wind gradually weakens, both teams struggle with ball control and try to push forward to seize victory in the intense battle for the ball.
Tokyo attempts to score a goal from Nakajima's dribble breakthrough at 42 minutes, but is blocked by the opposing DF.
Kono koborekyuu wo Kono ga middleshuuto wo hanatsu mo baanoue.
The match ended with Gamba pushing again, but the defense remained focused and the game ended.
FC Tokyo U-23 earned their first point and rose to 15th place.

Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.

Thank you for your continued warm support.

[Summary of Manager Yasuma's Press Conference]

"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all the fans, supporters, and sponsors who have patiently supported our team in this bad weather and difficult situation where we struggle to earn points."
The match has been played with challenges and themes for both offense and defense every round. Although we have been able to do more, for today's match, we sent out a message to win against the U-23 team, who we will have to face in the same J1 league in the future. We emphasized that it is not the team that plays good soccer and makes good plays that wins, but the team that plays with confidence. We scouted the Cerezo and Gamba match and strongly emphasized the ball and the transition between offense and defense. The players played with the sole desire to not lose, but the fact remains that we could only get 1 point. So, we will face the players and add quality to this level of activity, and we will continue to strive to win at least one game and secure a position in J1."
