[Player and Coach Comments]
Sec. 7 will be the only home game for FC Tokyo U-23 during the Golden Week.
The temperature has risen to 28°C, and the weather is clear.
In the previous match, Tokyo celebrated their first victory in the 2016 Meiji Yasuda J3 League, and now they face Tochigi SC, who are also aiming for consecutive wins, in pursuit of their first home victory and a winning streak.
Tokyo is surrounded by GK. The DF line is the same as the previous match, with Yanagi, Yoshimoto, Okazaki, and Nozawa lined up from the right.
In the midfield, Yukino and Sho SASAKI are positioned as defensive midfielders. Hiraoka is on the right and Insoo YU is on the left.
And in the two-top, Hayashi and Muriqui made their first start in the J-League as an over-age player.
Tochigi, on the other hand, has Jean Mozer, who scored his first goal in the last match, joining the front line to form a two-top with Oishi, who has 3 goals in 6 matches.
In the midfield, veteran players Hirose and Honma are positioned, and a 4-4-2 formation is adopted with experienced players lined up in the DF line.
The match, attended by 3,517 fans and supporters, began with Tochigi SC's kickoff.
[First Half]
Tokyo made the first move.
Right after the start, Yanagi delivers a low early cross from the right side to the center, connecting with Muriqui and Lins, but the final pass to Insoo YU is just slightly off.
Tochigi connects the ball with the DF line and increases the time of ball possession, but Tokyo raises the DF line centered around Yoshimoto and keeps the overall formation compact to prevent the ball from moving forward.
Time passes without either side finding a breakthrough.
In the 13th minute, Tokyo began to create rhythm as Yukino and Sho SASAKI received the ball in midfield.
Hayashi, who was in the central midfield from the Tokyo goal area, received a long ball and passed it to Sasaki.
Sasaki makes a dribble and takes a shot. The blocked ball is followed by shots from Hiraoka and Hayashi, but they fail to score.
Furthermore, after 15 minutes, Sakuno broke through the center with a dribble and connected a backward pass to Insoo YU with a heel kick.
When Insoo YU took the shot, the GK made the save. Although Insoo YU aimed for the rebound, he could not hit the target.
Then, Tochigi was the first to make a move in the match.
In the 19th minute, after maintaining possession of the ball in the center of the midfield, the player cut in from the right and struck a mid-range shot that shook the goal net.
Tokyo, who conceded first, quickly launched a counterattack.
In the 24th minute, Nozawa threw a throw-in to Muriqui, who was positioned along the line on the left side of the midfield, and Muriqui entered the penalty area from the left side alone.
He sends a negative last pass to Hayashi, but it barely misses.
Tokyo launched another offensive in the 28th minute.
Yoshimoto intercepts the opponent's vertical pass near the center line.
Hayashi picks up the loose ball and passes it to Insoo YU. Insoo YU dribbles into the penalty area from slightly left of center and is fouled by the opposing DF, earning a penalty kick.
Muriqui calmly observed the opposing GK's movements and scored on the right side, equalizing despite the loud boos from the opposing supporters.
Muriqui scores his first goal in the J League.
After that, both teams try to launch an attack while maintaining possession of the ball, but they struggle to find a breakthrough.
In the 38th minute, Muriqui reacted to Nozawa's vertical pass and attempted to break through the left side alone, but was surrounded by two opposing DF players and lost the ball.
The first half ends in a 1-1 draw.

Coach Anma's Comments
"Let's confirm the timing for pressing in defense. In attack, we need to be proactive. Let's deepen our communication once again and fight in the second half as well."
【Second Half】
Both teams enter the second half without any substitutions, and the match opens up from the start.
After 20 seconds into the match, a free kick was awarded on the right side of the opponent's half, and the kicker is Yukino.
Yoshimoto, who entered the far side, was blocked by the Tochigi defense.
In the 49th minute, Muriqui dribbled through the center and passed to Insoo YU. Insoo YU evaded the opponent and took a shot, which was blocked by the opposing defender, resulting in a left corner kick.
This corner kick is deflected by Tochigi DF.
Tochigi also approached the Tokyo goal from set plays and the sides, but the defense stood firm and responded.
The chance was seized on the counter in the 52nd minute.
Hayashi cleared the opponent's right corner kick with a header at the near post, and Hiraoka picked it up.
Hiraoka skillfully uses his body to block the opposing defender and, after switching positions, launches a counterattack from the center of his own half.
Muriki also ran alongside, creating a 2-on-1 situation against the opponent's DF, and the stadium erupted in cheers.
Hiraoka makes a final pass to Muriqui in front of the penalty area, but it gets caught by the opposing defender, missing the chance.
Tokyo pushes further and creates a chance from the left side in the 61st minute.
Nozawa faced the opponent's DF one-on-one on the left side, using a kick feint to evade and break through vertically.
When a low cross is sent to the near post, Insoo YU reacts but it goes wide to the left of the goal.
Tokyo, having missed the chance, began to lose momentum to Tochigi.
In the 63rd minute, the opponent broke through from the left side and avoided Yoshimoto's sliding tackle as he came in to cover.
As he cut into the center of the goal and took a shot, Okazaki and Yanagi desperately made sliding tackles to block the shot, showing their determination.
In the 64th minute, the opponent created a chance on the right side and took a shot, but it went wide to the right of the goal.
Pressing in the midfield became difficult for both sides, leading to an open game.
In the 67th minute, Yukino steals the ball in the center of his own half and passes it back to Okazaki. Okazaki then dribbles forward, evades the opponent, and sends a middle pass to Hayashi, who has moved to the left.
Hayashi attempts to dribble and shoot, but the opposing DF blocks it.
In the 71st minute, Muriqui connects with Hiraoka, who is running down the right side. Hiraoka attempts to break through with a dribble and deliver a cross, but it is blocked by the opposing defender, resulting in a right corner kick.
Here, Hiraoka is substituted for Kiji while receiving a big round of applause from the stadium. Tokyo is intensifying their offensive.
Both teams continue to vie for the lead by aiming for the go-ahead goal.
Then, in the 82nd minute, Tokyo gave away a left corner kick, allowing a completely unmarked player to dive in at the far side and attempt a header, but it went wide of the target.
In the 86th minute, Tokyo earned a free kick on the left side of the midfield.
Yukino kicked a low cross, and Okazaki deflected it, sending the ball in front of the goal, but it was ruled offside.
In added time, Koyano was substituted for Suzuki, and they aimed for a goal until the end, but the match ended as it was.
Accumulated 1 point with a 1-1 draw.
Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
We appreciate your continued warm support.
【Summary of Coach Anma's Press Conference】
"In this rising temperature, when the U-23 players conceded a goal, it was very important for them not to look down and to communicate among themselves, saying 'It's still okay. Let's not concede again.' I hope this message resonates throughout the entire team as it is something they really need."
I believe the atmosphere of the final stadium was such that we were expected to come back and win 2-1, so I want to train hard to ensure we can turn the game around and pull ahead for the next match.
【Player Comments】
《SASAKI》
"I wanted to win today's match after our last victory, but it didn't go as smoothly as I hoped. It would have been great to score one more goal, but I want to switch gears and do my best next time. (Regarding my own play?) I think I had a few too many simple plays, and I wish I could have made more plays that would pose a threat to the opponent. (What are your thoughts for the next match?) Our next match is against Y.S.C.C. Yokohama, and I definitely want to win to improve our ranking."
