[Player and Coach Comments]
It was a victory that the fans, supporters, players, and staff achieved together as one.
After 10 matches in the 2016 Meiji Yasuda J3 League, FC Tokyo U-23 is in last place with 1 win, 3 draws, 6 losses, and 6 points.
This match is Sec. 11, taking place at the home stadium of AC Nagano Parceiro, which is in 4th place with 18 points, at "Minami-Nagano Sports Park Comprehensive Athletic Field."
The starting eleven for Tokyo features Go HATANO in goal for his J3 League debut.
The DF line consists of a three-back formation with Yanagi, Suzuki, and Okazaki from the right.
In the midfield, Nozawa is positioned as the anchor, with Yukino and Wataru SASAKI as inside halves.
Both WBs are Komano and Koyama, who has just been registered as a special designated player, on the left side.
The front line is set up in a 3-5-2 formation with Hiraoka and Insoo YU.
Nagano features Kondo, who has also played for FC Tokyo, and the experienced Arata in the front line.
In the center-back position, Sakata stands firm, supported by experienced players along the center line in a 4-4-2 formation.
A team characterized by powerful attacks from long balls.
The team faced the match with about 100 fans and supporters watching from the Tokyo goal area and the main stand.
[First Half]
In the first half, Tokyo dominated the match.
Although there were moments at the start when Nagano controlled the ball, Yanagi and Okazaki applied intense pressure on Nagano's two forwards, not allowing them any freedom.
Everyone focuses on picking up the second ball against the opponent's long ball and seizing the momentum.
Tokyo begins to create rhythm as Yukino receives the ball and approaches the goal from the left side.
The first chance came in the 13th minute, as defender Suzuki carried the ball into midfield and played a vertical pass to Insoo YU.
When this is connected to Koyama, Koyama passes the ground ball to Sasaki, who is positioned outside the penalty area, and aims for the goal with his right foot, but it goes to the right of the target.
Furthermore, in the 17th minute, Koyama, who entered from the left side, received a vertical pass.
Hiraoka makes a timely run behind, but the opposing GK just barely comes out first and catches the ball.
After that, Tokyo continued to connect the ball while switching positions, preventing the Nagano defense from focusing.
As the battle for the ball continues in midfield, Tokyo takes the lead from the restart.
In the 31st minute, after receiving a foul on the left side of the opponent's half, Yukino quickly restarted the play.
Insoo YU broke through vertically, advancing into the penalty area with a dribble. Cutting in from the left side with no angle, he curled it into the far side with his left foot.
Tokyo, further intensifying their attack, broke through on the right side in the 32nd minute with a one-two between Komano and Hiraoka, delivering a low cross to the center.
Here, Sasaki dives in and attempts a direct shot with his right foot, but misses the connection, missing the chance for an additional goal.
Tokyo, gaining momentum, skillfully utilizes both short and long passes to launch their attacks.
In the 40th minute, they approached the goal with intricate passing.
Nozawa, Sasaki, and others connect short passes in the center of the opponent's territory to break through.
In the end, Nozawa passed to Yukino, and Yukino's powerful long shot was blocked by the opposing goalkeeper's great save.
In the 43rd minute, Insoo YU receives a long pass from Okazaki while drifting to the left side.
Surrounded and crushed by two opposing DFs, Tokyo launches a variety of attacks.
In the latter part of the first half, although they allowed consecutive crosses from free kicks in front of the goal, the defense cleared them, leading 1-0 at halftime.

Coach Anma's Comments
"Defense must remain focused and coordinated like in the first half. Let's enter the game with strong determination. We will definitely win and return home."
[Second Half]
Both teams entered the second half without making any substitutions.
Tokyo wanted to dominate the match just like in the first half, but after Hiraoka hit the post with a shot from the right side inside the penalty area at the start, the momentum shifted to Nagano.
Nagano sends long balls aimed at the two strikers from near the center line and from low positions on both sides.
In contrast, Tokyo's DF line was not pushed up, everyone fell back into their own half, and the DF line positioned itself in front of the penalty area, continuing to repel thoroughly.
In the 58th minute, an early cross from the right side was met at the far side, but Go HATANO spread his body and made a great save.
They continued to be pushed back, gradually increasing the distance between the midfield and the forward line, and even when the ball was passed to the front line, they became isolated and could not maintain possession.
Tokyo is trying to change the flow by bringing in Uchida, but it won't change easily.
Nagano also substitutes the two forwards to increase pressure.
In the 72nd minute, we lost the ball in midfield and faced a counterattack, but Yukino returned over a long distance to respond.
Maintain concentration and continue to endure together.
Then, in the 77th minute, Kōno cramped up and went off the pitch once. Tokyo, having used all their substitute players, defends with 10 men.
Furthermore, against Nagano, who intensified their offensive, the guardian Go HATANO maximized the weapon of height.
In the 77th minute, he punches away a high middle shot from the opponent.
In the 79th minute, Nagano adopted a tactic of crowding in front of the goal against the opponent's right corner kick, but Go HATANO caught the cross.
Continuing, in the 81st minute, Go HATANO came out to catch a long ball from the left side at a shallow position, just outside the penalty area. This demonstrates his wide defensive range.
Kohno is back on the pitch, and the entire team is enduring as Tokyo, with Nozawa and Insoo YU also cramping, defends.
In the 90+1 minute, Yukino, who received his second yellow card of the day, was sent off.
Tokyo endures with 10 players during injury time, as Nagano creates a decisive chance, but Go HATANO makes a great save.
Everyone held on until the end and secured the second victory.
Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23 today.
We appreciate your continued warm support.
[Summary of Coach Anma's Press Conference]
First of all, I am proud of the players who faced this match without any excuses, including those who participated in the club youth championship the day before and those who trained against the top team.
Also, I am truly grateful to the fans and supporters who chose to support our match despite the J1 Gamba Osaka game at home, and we entered the match saying that we must definitely win for those fans.
I believe that feeling has been solidly manifested, leading to this result.
I believe the match content was able to unfold spectacular soccer with a slightly different format than usual.
In the second half, I thought we would receive long balls at some point, but from the start of the second half, we faced attacks using long balls. Although we dropped our line against the opponent's strong points, the young players defended well by committing their bodies and blocking shooting lanes until the very end. This match showed that it's not just about skill; such developments are also necessary in competition. I believe this was significant for the players moving forward.
The scoring scene was a quick start, and I think both the receiver and the passer had a strong intention, making it a surprising play. I believe it was good that he was able to show his individual strength by taking on the challenge with his dribbling.
Above all, when I see the players coming together after scoring or after the match, it shows that although we can't practice as a team very often, we are communicating and building our team within the time we have. I want to continue to improve our matches and work hard every day to respond to the fans and supporters who come to see us.
【Player Comments】
《Go HATANO》
"Although it was my debut match, I was able to prepare as usual and approach it in my true form."
By being able to continuously communicate with the defense throughout the match, we were able to actively challenge high balls as well.
However, we also found some issues, and I would like to practice and correct our positioning in detailed situations.
As a team, the opponent's attacks were mostly long balls, but we were able to effectively bounce them back and pick up the second balls, so I didn't feel like we would concede any goals throughout the match.
(What are your aspirations for the next match?) I want to contribute to the team's victory with a clean sheet.
