[Player/Coach Comments]
Tokyo, who grabbed their second win last round, will welcome Fujieda MYFC at home and aim for consecutive victories.
The goalmouth in Tokyo is surrounded by a fence.
The DF line consists of Yanagi, Yoshimoto, Okazaki, and Ogawa. At the bottom of the midfield, Nozawa and Suzuki (Yoshi) line up, with the FC Tokyo U-18 duo of Namiki and Uchida taking on the wings.
The front line is an orthodox 4-4-2 led by Hirayama and Insoo YU.
Nakajima, who has recovered from his injury, is on the bench. And Muroya, who made his first appearance in an official match for FC Tokyo, is waiting for his chance to play.
Fujieda also deployed a 4-4-2 formation, with experienced attacker Endo and agile Edamoto.
And Thales, a side back with scoring ability, will start in the DF line, making the team known for their short counters from high press.
The match started with Fujieda's kickoff.
【First Half】
Both teams showed an aggressive start and threatened the goal from set pieces.
First chance for Fujieda. In the 4th minute, Fujieda is given a right corner kick and although the defender initially clears it, the ball remains in the penalty area due to a poor clearance.
Fujieda aims for this directly, but it goes over the frame.
In the 6th minute, Ogawa sends a left corner kick to the far side where Yoshimoto crosses it back, but Yanagi's shot goes over the frame.
Then in the 10th minute, Suzuki (Yoshi) passes to Hiraoka on the right side, who then runs up the side to the goal area.
When the ball is crossed into the Granda area, the Fujieda defense is unable to clear it near the goal and the ball falls into the center.
Insoo YU scores the opening goal with a header. This is YU's third goal of the season.
Tokyo, which gained momentum, aggressively presses from the front line and actively attacks from both sides.
And, in the post-match press conference, Fujieda's coach Oishi said, "I didn't expect Tokyo to use so many long balls and we were pushed back." As a result, they took control of the game by utilizing the speed of their front line players, Hirayama and Insoo YU.
21 minutes, Nozawa steals the ball in the midfield and Insoo YU picks it up and connects it to Hiraoka.
Hiraoka dribbles up the center, but the ball is touched by the DF chasing from behind, and the chance is missed.
In addition, at 26 minutes, Yagi, who was one-on-one on the right side, forcefully broke through vertically. When he crossed in front of the goal, the opposing DF cleared it.
Suzuki (Yoshi) takes a direct shot at the PA outer center with the ball that spilled over, but it goes well above the frame.
At the 28th minute, Fujieda was also threatened with a goal, and when they were robbed of a pass mistake in front of their own PA, Okazaki blocked the shot from a one-on-one confrontation.
Fujieda picks up the loose ball and crosses it, but Yanagi clears it.
The right CK given here allows for a heading shot, but the keeper catches it with a sideways dive.
The defense also does not lose concentration.
Tokyo, who continued to apply pressure, also threatened the goal in the final stage.
41 minutes, Ogawa steals the ball in the center of his own field and skillfully dribbles past two opponents, driving up the field.
Hiraoka runs to the right, Insoo YU runs to the left, and when it becomes a 3-on-3 situation, Ogawa passes a through ball to YU in front of the penalty area.
Insoo YU is unable to score against the opponent's GK in a one-on-one situation due to the opponent's good defense.
In addition, in the additional time, when Uchida steals the ball on the left side of the midfield, he makes a through pass to Insoo YU who ran behind with his right foot on the outside.
The opposing GK who came out to stop this with a foul outside the PA.
Ogawa's FK is matched to Insoo YU near the goal, but the header narrowly misses the frame.
After taking the lead, there were chances to score additional points, but they were unable to score and went into halftime with a one-point lead.
【Halftime】
Coach Yasuma's Comment
"Continuously aiming for the opponent's back. Continuously picking up second balls on defense and continuously making aggressive moves."
"We will boldly attack, boldly take back, and continue to attack until our opponents are fed up."
【Second Half】
Both teams will enter the second half without making any player substitutions.
There are many fouls in the battle for dominance in the midfield from the start. Both teams are also aggressively pressing from the front.
Tokyo pressed continuously in the opponent's penalty area for 54 minutes, and Hirayama successfully stole the ball.
DF blocks the ball as it approaches the goal, but continues to applaud the aggressive play of Hirayama.
In addition, in the 58th minute, Insoo YU pressed the opponent's defense line. Hirooka picked it up and dribbled, then passed it back to Insoo YU.
Insoo YU's shot is blocked by the opponent.
Tokyo, who had been on the offensive, was attacking but at the 60-minute mark, they were dribbled past from the right side and allowed entry into the middle, resulting in a foul by Yanagi in the penalty area and a conceded goal from a penalty kick.
Immediately after this, Nakajima is substituted for Uchida and Nakajima continuously threatens the goal.
64 minutes, Nakajima steals the ball in the opponent's central right side and dribbles it himself.
The opponent DF was able to get past me on the right and take a no-spin shot, but the GK was right in front of me.
Nakajima is fouled just outside the opponent's penalty area on the left side in the 65th minute.
Although he kicked this FK himself and softly passed over the wall, the opponent GK made a good save.
In the 67th minute, Insoo YU broke through the left side and received a negative pass outside the PA, but the middle shot was saved by the GK.
Substitution: Sei MUROYA replaces Hirao Oka on the pitch at the 70th minute.
Made his official debut for FC Tokyo and entered as a right back. Yagi moved to the left side, Ogawa to the right side half. Namae to the left side.
Accelerate the attack by making Nakajima and Insoo YU the front line.
75 minutes, when the opponent GK holds the ball in front of the PA, Hirayama presses.
GK slips and competes with Hiraoka, causing the ball to slip away. Nozawa tries to aim for it with a loop, but it goes outside the frame.
In the 82nd minute, Tokyo, who were increasing their offensive, had Insoo YU make a quick restart on the right side of the midfield and pass it to Nakajima who broke through the center.
Nakajima receives a foul just outside the PA and earns a FK. With Nakajima and Ogawa lining up as kickers, Ogawa passes through the wall but the GK blocks it.
When the GK fumbles this, Muroya closes in, but the GK quickly responds.
In addition, in the 83rd minute, Insoo YU was replaced and Suzuki (Ikku), who made his first appearance in the J-League at the same time as Muroya, made his debut.
Trying to score a goal, but in the 88th minute, Yoshimoto threw his body to block the shot after allowing a breakthrough from the left side.
Despite being shot with a loose ball, the defense threw their bodies to narrow the shooting course and send it outside the frame.
Both teams created scoring opportunities in additional time, but were unable to score, resulting in a 1-1 draw and 1 point each.
Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
Thank you for your continued warm support.
[Coach Yasuma's Press Conference Summary]
[I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the fans and supporters who came to the stands in the hot weather.]
It was great to see our players bravely attacking the opponent's last line as always. They showed true courage and it was wonderful.
However, I feel that we need to continue pursuing these situations from our daily practice, as there were many opportunities to decide the game in the first half but we were unable to do so. Instead of avoiding these situations in the game, I hope we can continue to try and overcome these obstacles in the future.
I hope that by doing so, the game will end in a win, so I want you to try without fear of change.
And above all, I hope that Shoya NAKAJIMA and Sei MUROYA, who have returned from a long-term absence, will be rewarded for their efforts in the future."
【Player Comments】
《Muroya》
"Watching from the bench in the first half, everyone was fighting and showing great effort. We were able to score the first goal in a good flow, and I thought things were going well. However, we ended up conceding a penalty in the second half. Although the result was a 1-1 draw, I think overall everyone fought really hard and it was a valuable draw that will lead us forward."
(How was your play?) Since it was my first game in 4 months, my body felt really heavy and I couldn't quite listen to what was being said. There were still many challenges, but it was a big step for me, so I want to continue building on this one by one.
(When I came on as a substitute, I received a huge cheer) I was really encouraged and happy to hear the cheers. My eyes became warm. I realized that for the fans and supporters who support us so much, as an individual and as a team, we need to aim even higher.
(I think the rehabilitation period was also long and difficult,) It was a tough four months, even just watching the game was a little painful, but I want to continue to do my best so that these difficult four months will have meaning.
(For the next game) We hope to demonstrate even higher quality play for a longer period of time, so we appreciate your passionate support.
