[Player and Coach Comments]

The home consecutive matches for the 2016 Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J3 League Sec. 19 featured a match against Gainare Tottori at AJINOMOTO FIELD NISHIGAOKA.

With the change of the TOP team's coach, Coach Anma has become the dedicated coach of the TOP team, and Tadashi NAKAMURA, the coach of FC Tokyo U-18, has been appointed as the new coach.
The starting eleven from Tokyo has Enomoto as GK.
The DF line from the right is Hiraoka, Yamada, Okazaki, and Sho SASAKI.
Nozawa will take the anchor position, with Hayashi and Insoo YU in the inside half.
In the front line, Suzuki (Iku), Yajima, and Matsuoka form a 4-3-3 formation.
Hantani, who is making his first appearance in an FC Tokyo official match, is preparing on the bench.
Tottori is set up in a 4-4-2 formation, just like in the previous match.
Maeda, who also belonged to FC Tokyo, is in the front line, and the team is characterized by hard work as a whole.
On the bench are FERNANDEZ and BALTI JUNIOR, who has made his first appearance as a member.
Although it rained before the match, it stopped by kickoff, and the game started with Tottori's kickoff in slightly humid conditions.

[First Half]
Right after the start, both teams approach each other's goal.
52 seconds, Hiraoka crosses from the right side and the Tottori defense clears the ball.
Hayashi picked up the ball outside the penalty area and aimed for the goal with a half-bounce shot, but the drive shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
Tottori also broke through the center immediately after and approached the goal, but Enomoto blocked it.
Both teams form a compact formation, creating a block in their own half against the opponent who builds up play, making it difficult for them to take a shot.
As time progresses, Tottori increases their possession of the ball, while Tokyo looks for opportunities on the counter.
Among them, Tokyo quickly transitions after losing the ball, not giving Tottori any freedom.
Even with a water break, the stalemate remains unchanged, as both teams advance the ball to the area around the penalty area but fail to take a shot in the final moments, or the passes are slightly off.
Still wanting to break the deadlock, Tokyo passes the ball to Yajima, and from there, multiple players attempt to break through, but they cannot overcome the Tottori defense.
Tokyo created a chance in the final stages at 42 minutes.
After earning a free kick on the central left side, Insoo YU quickly restarted to Sasaki, who was running along the sideline.
Here, Matsuoka flows vertically and sends a low cross to the center, but Hayashi is blocked by the Tottori defense.
Sasaki picks up this loose ball and takes a shot from the middle in front of the approaching opponent DF, but it misses and goes to the right of the goal.
In the 45+1 minute of additional time, a long pass reaches Sho SASAKI, who has penetrated deep into the left side from the right side.
Returning this to Insoo YU and connecting it to Suzuki (Ikku) in the center outside the penalty area, he momentarily evades the opponent and takes a shot with his left foot, but it goes wide of the target.
In the first half, Tokyo had 5 shots, while Tottori had 3 shots.

【Halftime】
Coach Nakamura's Comments
"Everyone is able to play aggressively, so let's continue that."
Increase the position to win the ball and effectively use the sides.

【Second Half】
Both teams entered the second half without making substitutions and started with an aggressive approach.
Immediately after the kickoff, Insoo YU broke through the center alone with speed.
If this is stopped by a foul, Sasaki aims directly for the free kick but it goes wide of the target.
Tottori broke through the left side in the 47th minute and approached the goal, but Enomoto rushed out to the edge of the penalty area and saved the one-on-one with his foot.
Protect the goal.
After about 5 minutes into the second half, the pace of the game accelerated further, and the battles in front of the goal began to increase.
In the 55th minute in Tokyo, Insoo YU from the center of the midfield made a big play to the right side, leading to Hiraoka's attempt and earning a right corner kick.
In the 57th minute, Hiraoka opened up on the right side and delivered an early cross, but it did not connect with his teammates.
In defense, in the 58th minute, although they were caught out on the right side, Okazaki covered with a sliding tackle. They maintain their focus.
Then an incident occurs for Tokyo.
In the 62nd minute, Yamada cramped up in a scramble in front of the goal and was substituted immediately.
When Hantani is brought in, Nozawa and Okazaki are the center backs. Hayashi is positioned as the anchor, with Insoo YU and Hantani as the inside midfielders.
If Tottori switches to a two-top with Brazilian players before and after this, they will allow those two to score.
In the 65th minute, from a throw-in on the right side by Tottori, the two strikers broke through and entered the penalty area.
In the end, we allowed the first goal to be scored from around the right diagonal 45 degrees to the far side.
After that, the developments continued within the Tokyo territory, and time passed without being able to push back.
Still, they gradually began to take control and started to attack into Tottori's territory.
In the 73rd minute, after stealing the ball in their own half, Matsuoka launched a counterattack and surged forward through the center, resulting in an unavoidable foul.
Insoo YU makes a powerful shot from a free kick directly in front of the goal, but is thwarted by the goalkeeper's excellent save.
Tokyo, increasing their offensive pressure, saw Sasaki make a cut-in shot from the left side in the 80th minute, but it was denied by the post.
Suzuki (Ikku) picks up the loose ball and delivers a cross from the right side of the penalty area to the far post, but the Tottori defense puts their bodies on the line and misses the chance.
In the 81st minute, Yajima takes a shot from the center, but the Tottori GK makes a great save.
Tokyo added Uchida and Kiji to accelerate their momentum, and in the 82nd minute, Uchida broke through the right side and delivered a sharp cross to the center.
Here, Hantani jumps in free, but the headed shot he struck does not shake the net.
Despite continuing to push towards the goal without giving up until the end, they could not break through Tottori's defense, and the match ended as it was.
Lost 0-1, resulting in consecutive defeats

Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
We appreciate your continued warm support.

【Summary of Coach Nakamura's Press Conference・Comments】
"First of all, regarding the result, I really wanted to win and wanted us to win.
Because all the players had the awareness to connect the ball that they initially promised to the goal.
Without anyone walking, without anyone slacking off, and without anyone hiding, the players truly showed their commitment to receiving the ball and carrying it towards the goal, taking great care of it.
In that sense, I was very frustrated that we couldn't win, and I believe the players were quite frustrated as well.
(I think there were players in unfamiliar positions?) We arranged the positions so that each player's characteristics can shine, even in unfamiliar positions.
I think I was able to play the game without feeling much discomfort.
(The number of times we approached the goal in the second half increased) by moving the ball, I thought the opponent would get tired in this heat, and our strength is being able to move the ball.
However, in the second half, we talked about not just moving the ball, but also aiming for the goal more.
(Regarding our determination for the next match) Thank you for coming today in this really hot weather. I feel regret that we couldn't win and made you feel disappointed.
The next match is away, but I want to do my best to achieve both results and performance.

【Player Comments】
《Hantani》
"Today, I was able to join the squad for the first time. From the outside, I thought the way we entered the game wasn't bad. I was watching while imagining how I would come in during the match."
I think when I actually came on midway, I was able to enter with a good image. Although it was a different position than usual, I believe I was able to showcase my strengths, such as making plays around the penalty area, several times.
(Although I came on as a substitute, I think I was involved in scoring opportunities even in an unfamiliar position) In the scene where I headed the ball from a cross, I have been trying to make sure I am well-prepared without stopping my feet since I was playing in the U-18. I was able to shake off my marker, and it was a situation where I just needed to finish it properly, so I am very frustrated.
(It was my J-League debut match with FC Tokyo, and to be honest, I was a bit nervous at first, but as I played, I got used to it and was able to showcase my strengths. Personally, I think it was a good debut match.
(Enthusiasm for the next match) If I have the chance to be included in the squad for the next match, I want to showcase my strengths and aim to score a goal next time.
