[Player and Coach Comments]
《Takuma ABE》
"It has been about a year since my last official match, so rather than feeling pressure, I was really happy to be able to stand on the pitch.
In the final stages, I felt like my legs were cramping, and there may have been some shortcomings in terms of match awareness, but I was really able to enjoy playing.
The team's victory is the most important, but I also believed that it is important to 'deliver results' when given the opportunity.
Before the moment we scored the opening goal, I received a good pass from Yuhei, and I was prepared thinking that there would definitely be a second opportunity, so I was glad that the pass came as expected and we were able to score.
It was good to score, but I want to increase the number of shots.
If I can continue to do my best at what I can during regular practice, and if I get the chance to play in a match, I want to work hard again.
《Kazunori YOSHIMOTO》
The quick transitions of the forwards and midfielders were impressive; even when the ball was lost, they immediately went to reclaim it, which was reassuring for the defense.
The reason for switching to a three-back formation was that the opponent had three players in their front line, and we aimed to thoroughly implement that strategy.
We always discuss things as a group of three, and even if it becomes a one-on-one situation, we should be able to hold back, so we confirmed to "be strong towards others."
I think we communicated well and the marking transfer went smoothly.
Abe has been working hard on both offense and defense, and he also scored a goal.
Although player Yanagi also made his debut, if new players participate and win in this way, the team will definitely be energized.
Today was the first match of the Levain Cup, but we need everyone's strength for the title.
I want us all to communicate and work together to do our best.
《Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference》
This result was very good. The players who were warming the bench showed an attitude like today, which resulted in a very positive outcome for the team.
In terms of content, there are some mistakes, but it showed a proactive attitude in challenging any opponent.
This has intensified the competition within the team, and the players who participated today demonstrated that without an attitude like today's, they cannot play in the matches.
Losing to Gamba, I want to view the victory at home in the first match of the Levain Cup positively as a team.
I always convey that I will actively put players who have delivered results into the game.
Choosing who to select is my job, but I believe that players who have delivered results and shown their attitude have the right to play in the matches, so I want everyone to prepare for the league together.
Summary of the Press Conference by Sendai's Susumu WATANABE
I would like to apologize to the supporters who came all the way from distant Sendai and to those supporters who were looking forward to this match in front of their televisions.
It is quite rare to be pushed this far throughout the year. We gave away a few careless goals.
Mistakes increased from the start of the first half, and we fell behind in defense, taking time to organize.
We made adjustments at halftime and started the second half well, but after conceding the second goal from behind, we were unable to maintain our team's power.
I think that is the major challenge the team is currently facing.
Similar to the last match against Kobe, we had the energy to come back from a two-goal deficit, but ultimately we were unable to equalize.
Regarding today's game, we ended up conceding additional goals. That is a challenge presented to us, and I believe it reflects our current capabilities.
However, since we have a match against Kashiwa in two days, we want to overcome this situation ourselves and gather energy for the next game.
