[Player and Coach Comments]
《Yoshito OKUBO》
I'm glad I was able to score a goal.
Up until now, I had not scored, and I thought to myself, 'I will score someday,' but I also felt the expectations from those around me, and to be honest, I was a little anxious.
In a match like today, being able to score in that way was really great for the fans and supporters.
After scoring, I ran towards the stands with a feeling of apology.
The moment of the pass to player Abe that led to the opening goal changed at the last moment with a close decision.
If you can only execute one play that you've decided on, it's a waste.
By making strategic moves, I could also see Takuma's position.
Although it was an own goal, I think that opening goal was important.
It was a game where it was hard to predict the outcome, but I thought Kawasaki often loses focus.
Understanding that, I tried to run through to the end, and if I can make such a challenge in front of the goal, I can score.
I want to continue scoring goals that contribute to Tokyo's victory.
Akihiro HAYASHI
"It has been two months since I joined Tokyo. I definitely feel that the daily training is helping me grow."
I am conscious of going for the shot and the ball in the 'shortest' way possible. Until now, there have been many unnecessary movements.
Of course, we still need to refine both our defense and offense, but it was good to win today without conceding any goals. I want to work hard so that the team can grow step by step.
I will join the Japan national team, but I want to do my best to embody what I have learned in Tokyo even a little.
《Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference》
I believe that achieving such results is a testament to the players' hard work and the success of fighting together as a group. We were able to control the game for the full 90 minutes.
Of course, there were some minor mistakes and moments where we created scoring opportunities, but we were able to fight hard for 90 minutes. Moving forward, I want to continue to review various aspects as we compete.
Regarding the combination of the attacking lineup, there are players with various individual skills, but how we fight as a group is what soccer is about.
I believe that rather than focusing on the shape, it is essential for every player to fight against the opponent in various ways and make dedicated movements to help the team win.
In terms of defense, the players not only engaged with Kawasaki Frontale's players but also coordinated their movements, chasing at the right moments. There were some dangerous scenes at the start, but we managed to get through that and gradually established our own pace.
In terms of offense, the forwards effectively created space and time for the ball, allowing Ota to take up a high position and Utaka to find time to get into position for crosses.
During the 90 minutes, we expect them to create many such situations, and we want to thoroughly do what the opponent dislikes.
In today's match, the ability to create space in the front line was better compared to the last few matches. Also, as time went on, we were able to create more of those scenes, so I think it's a positive trend.
Yu OKUBO scored a goal while facing various pressures after the defeat in the previous match. Truly a man's man.
In the final one-two situation, the composure to observe the goalkeeper and the sharpness of the body are truly qualities to be emulated.
In defense, he pressed and pressed back every time, contributing to the team in various ways.
Of course, many of you expect him to score goals, but today he contributed even more than that. He himself overcame a lot of pressure and I believe he has had a positive impact on the team.
《Kawasaki - Toru ONIKI's Press Conference Summary》
I don't think the start of the first half was bad. However, from a certain point on, we were given the ball, and overall our energy levels dropped, which prevented us from mounting a powerful attack. I find that a bit disappointing.
In the second half, we tried to reset our mindset, but we fell apart after conceding the opening goal.
The reason for being forced to hold the ball was that when the player had the ball, they didn't feel much pressure, but when the player moved, the ball stopped moving. I think the factor lies in the fact that the movement of the players also came to a halt. Additionally, FC Tokyo's individual defense was strong, making it difficult to penetrate.
