[Player/Coach Comments]
"Akihiro HAYASHI"
"It's really disappointing and frustrating to concede a goal."
I think there were two mistakes in terms of conceding points.
One is about the sense of distance and preparation in front of the goal.
If you had felt the opponent's strength and speed a little more from the start, you should have been able to take the distance well and be prepared, including the direction of your body.
Another one was unable to hold down the opponent in the battle for attack.
We were unable to press and ended up being attacked to our goal.
However, there were two mistakes, but I think there was still a chance to catch up even if we put them aside.
Our team feels that now is the time to change and we feel a great potential to make that change.
The front line should be more aggressive, the back should be stronger, and everyone should be able to change. It was a game that gave us a sense of accomplishment in that regard.
"Takuma ABE"
"Losing is frustrating. Especially when we couldn't score..."
(Regarding today's attacking aspect)
I was conscious of both actively launching short counters after taking the ball and aiming for the opponent's back while calmly passing the ball. Personally, I also made an effort to utilize the strengths of the players on the pitch.
There were actually chances, but I think the final accuracy is the issue.
I had a great shooting opportunity at the start and I regret not being able to score there.
We have discussed as a team how we will fight in this match. I think we have established a good foundation for that.
However, we cannot win without scoring. We would like to discuss this again and make it a challenge for the next game.
"Summary of Manager Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference"
"Losing any game is truly frustrating and there are indescribable emotions, but I want to think positively and move forward. The supporters also pushed us until the end, but unfortunately we couldn't give them a victory as a present."
The game, I think we were able to press the opponent well from the beginning, and we had some chances to score, but the game can be decided by whether we can score those chances or not, and on the other hand, we were scored by the opponent's one chance or counter, so I think we still have a long way to go. However, compared to the previous defeat, there are many positive things that can be taken away, and we just want to lift our heads and move on to the next game.
(Which part do you see positively?)
The players did exactly what they intended for a full 90 minutes. However, we were unable to break through when the opponent created a block, or make passes and dribbles to break through the final line.
There were parts that were completed, but I also think there were parts that were not completed.
The positive aspect is that we are thinking about various things, and in the midst of an open development, we were able to progress the game with only one goal conceded. Also, the players trained positively without getting discouraged during this week. We are looking at these things in a positive light.
"Summary of Urawa Mihailo PETROVIC's press conference"
FC Tokyo's matches are always tough, and today's game was no exception.
The previous matches of FC Tokyo were, in terms of content, more often better games, but today's game became a match where both teams ran and fought against each other.
We faced Shanghai in the ACL on Tuesday, which was a tough match after a series of games, but we were able to secure a solid victory by running, fighting, and going for the 3 points professionally.
Today, the temperature rose and the players were quite exhausted, but I want to commend the attitude of the players who fought until the end in the midst of consecutive matches.
