[Player and Coach Comments]
Kento HASHIMOTO
(About the Goal)
I was able to position myself well where the ball seemed to be coming up. A good ball came from player Ota, so I just had to tap it in.
(About the match)
There were many long balls from the opponent, and there was a lot of time spent fighting for the second balls.
We want to increase the time we keep the ball a little more and have more time for ourselves.
For that reason, I felt that improving ball control to calm the ball down and stop the opponent's momentum is a challenge.
《Yoshito OKUBO》
(About today's match)
Both teams played a match with many long balls, but it was significant that we ultimately won 3-0.
(About the distance with Kono)
I feel that Kono is always watching. He keeps coming closer and tries to receive the ball in between, so the distance has improved.
(What I focused on in today's match)
Today, I strongly focused on breaking through behind the defense and applying pressure effectively as I entered the match.
I thought it would be good if I could contribute to the team's strength by doing that, and I want to continue doing so in the future.
(About the scoring scene)
From the middle of the second half, the opponent started to stretch out, and just before we scored the second goal, the spacing in the front line improved significantly.
If we have that good sense of distance, I think we can break down the opponent, and I want to show that sense of distance from the first half.
Today, the opponent's pace has slowed down, which created that distance, but that won't work against strong teams, so I want to be more aware of that.
Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference
I expected it to be a very difficult game, but I think we struggled more than I anticipated.
Still, we patiently endured the opponent's long balls and long throws, gradually creating our own time.
The score gap widened, but I believe it was never that kind of game. We still have things to do, and I feel that this 3 points was brought about by the players' perseverance and positive attitude.
I believe that the support from all the fans and supporters until the end made this a truly valuable three points, and I want to prepare for the next match.
《Summary of the press conference by Niigata's Fumitake MIURA》
"I think the players focused well on the game. In the first half, we invaded the area multiple times and created chances, but we couldn't finish them. We conceded a goal from a free kick, and the first half ended. At halftime, I sent them out saying, 'The content itself is not bad, and since it was really just that, if we can first equalize with one goal, we can definitely turn this game around.' The players sensed that, and they started the second half really well; it was our time. However, the forwards, especially Thiago and Rins, started to get tired, and just as I was about to bring in Tatsuya TANAKA, we were caught off guard and conceded the second goal. After that, we couldn't turn it around. In the end, it was a game where the opponent controlled the game."
