[Player and Coach Comments]
《Go HATANO》
(Reflecting on the match)
"The result is disappointing, but I believe I could have done more, so I want to push myself further."
(Regarding coordination with the defense)
"In practice, I played together with Yoshimoto and Yamada, so there were no issues with coordination. However, if I could have given more instructions, I think we could have avoided the third goal. Each of my mistakes led to conceding goals, so I want to be more conscious of giving instructions from practice onward."
(There were some good saves, but?)
"Even though I came on as a substitute, we still conceded goals after I entered. As a goalkeeper, I have to protect the goal, so I feel I need to practice more."
《Takuya UCHIDA》
(Reflecting on today's match)
"I am honestly happy to have been able to play with the top team, but we lost the match."
I found many things that are still lacking, so I want to increase the plays that can be effective in the top team and contribute to the team's victory next time."
(Did it seem like you were playing quite calmly?)
"At first, I was nervous, but I focused on not making mistakes in my first play after the substitution. As time went on, I was able to play more calmly, but I still made many mistakes, so I want to reduce those mistakes and create opportunities."
《Summary of the press conference by Yoshiyuki SHINODA, the coach》
"I am very disappointed with the result and reflecting on it. Above all, conceding a goal at that time was significant. Even so, I thought that if we could manage to get through with the least goals conceded, we could somehow make it. I had the players work on how to catch up after going down to 0-2 with a player sent off. We were able to create chances, and I want to commend the players' attitude. However, just having the attitude of 'we did our best' doesn't yield any results."
What we are seeking is the result of victory, and I truly believe that just saying they did well is not enough for the future. I want to ensure they focus on their training ahead, their attitude towards the matches, and game control, and I want to see if they can do it. Their attitude was good, they created chances, but it felt like it wasn't enough in that match.
《Q&A》
Q=It seemed like it took a while to switch on, but the main issue was that the defensive line was pulled by Ogawa from Juntendo. Although we were able to align the line with the shadow, the center-back on the ball side couldn't approach the deeper shadow, which caused the entire team to drop back. I believe this is the main reason.
We couldn't win the aerial duels against the opponent's long balls. That was one of the reasons we couldn't find our rhythm as a team. I think we played better after going down to ten men; our ball movement and transitions were quicker, so I believe that's something everyone needs to reflect on.
《Press Conference Summary of Iwata's Coach Hiroshi NANAMI》
I told the players to continue the good rhythm of the league matches, and since this is an opportunity to showcase themselves, I conveyed that they should hold nothing back and give it their all. I think it was a game where both sides showed their strengths from the start.
With FC Tokyo down to 10 players, they managed to show their faces intermittently, utilizing the momentum of the players in front and the speed to advance, which caused us quite a bit of trouble. I think not being able to maintain the alignment of the three-back was a point of reflection. When we had 11 players, we were making back passes and throw-ins with a distance of 7 or 8 meters, but after going down to 10, we became negligent in that regard, so that will be a challenge for the future.
I thought that if we could survive the first 10 to 15 minutes of the second half, it would become our game, so I switched to a four-back formation.
I think conceding one goal shows that we still lack strength, so I want to do my best for the next league match away against Kashiwa.
