[Player/Coach Comments]
"Takahiro YANAGI"
"From an early time, we were in a situation where we were one player short, and within that, the team fell apart and conceded three goals."
I think it was good that we were able to hold off without conceding any goals in the second half, even though we were one or two players short. It would have been better if we could have turned things around in the first half.
(There were many plays where players did not give up until the end, such as breaking through alone.)
However, as the number of players decreased, there were fewer opportunities to pass the ball. In order to break through the situation, I chose to try and take on the challenge by myself.
(What parts did you feel confident about?)
I think in the latter part of the second half, we were able to play with persistence in front of the goal and other areas, so I want to increase the number of games where we can keep a clean sheet by being able to do it in every game before the number of players decreases.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next game?)
I want to prioritize the team's victory and also showcase my own strengths and characteristics within that.」
"Yoshitake SUZUKI"
"Although two players were sent off, I think we were able to defend well in the second half."
We want to communicate with everyone about how to enter the game and what to do after conceding, and we want to be able to overcome those times together.
(What parts did you feel confident about?)
As an individual, I need to be more involved in the attack and there are still challenges in improving the system.
As a team, will we press from the front or defend from the back?
I hope we can deepen our team's understanding of whether it is a time to attack or defend.
(What I kept in mind as the number of players decreased)
I thought I couldn't contribute much in the attacking part, so I thought about pressing from the front in the defensive part.
In the end, we were left with only three players in the midfield, and although we were conscious of trying to take the ball from the front, there were few opportunities to turn it into an attack or to take the ball by ourselves, so I think that is the challenge.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next game?)
I want to switch my feelings and prepare for the next game so that I can fight firmly from the beginning.」
"Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference"
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all the people involved who have prepared a good ground. I am also very sorry for playing such a disappointing game in front of all the fans and supporters who have come to watch."
In terms of the game, we emphasized the importance of being aggressive from the start, including in J1, but we ended up being half-hearted from the beginning, leading to easy mistakes and lack of preparation resulting in conceding points.
Early exits and the parts that I couldn't convey well to the players, as well as the lack of preparation from each player, had an impact and resulted in 3 goals conceded in the first half.
I would like to express my gratitude for the players who ran well until their legs cramped, and not only defended but also organized and launched counterattacks while the number of players decreased in the second half. They continued to show their determination to score.
