[Player and Coach Comments]
《Ryoya OGAWA》
I don't think it was a bad match overall as a team. We were able to be patient without getting anxious about the opponent's time.
We were able to maintain possession of the ball and had some good moments.
I want to face the challenge of not conceding goals until the end and the fact that we cannot win unless we score.
(There were chances from set plays, but?)
In J3, the opposing players are often taller, so if I can't kick the ball accurately to match, I don't think it will lead to a goal.
I want to practice diligently and improve my accuracy.
(We aggressively attacked from the left side) Anyway, we talked about having the attitude to aim for the goal as a team.
I was also aiming for goals whenever I had the chance, and I believed that if I could break through individually, it would definitely lead to opportunities, so I was conscious of that aspect.
(What did you keep in mind as a younger team?)
Since I, Yamada, and Insoo YU are from an older generation, we need to lead the U-18 players, and there was a consciousness that we must lead the team both in play and by speaking out.
(What is your determination for the next match?)
I intend to win every match, so I want to make sure to secure all 3 points.
Kazuaki Takase
I think it was a shame that we couldn't score when we had the ball in the first half.
As an individual, I believe that my job is to not concede goals while the team struggles to score, so I think conceding a goal reflects my lack of ability.
(It was my first appearance and first start in the J-League?)
I was nervous when I entered the stadium by bus, but once the match started, that nervousness turned into just the right amount of tension, allowing me to focus and play well.
(There were some great saves, but how did it feel?)
The defense was really working hard, so it felt like we were protecting the goal together.
However, I think the difference between me and players like Go HATANO and Hiroshi HIROSUKE is that I couldn't turn it into a win in the end.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next match?)
If I play in the match, I will definitely win.
Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference
I would like to express my gratitude for arriving at the stadium and for the opportunity for young players to play in such a wonderful stadium.
Additionally, many FC Tokyo fans and supporters traveled all the way from Kyushu, and we approached the match with a feeling of gratitude.
Regarding the match, I was aware of how much the very young players could challenge against a team of very high level.
In the previous match against Morioka, we played with the theme of entering the penalty area numerous times and finishing, and while we were able to enter the area a fair number of times, we were unable to take shots.
In this match, our goal was to score against Kitakyushu, and since our defense was able to keep a clean sheet in the previous match, we approached this game with the theme of winning while also maintaining a clean sheet.
The players fought well, had moments when they moved the ball, and created scoring opportunities, but unfortunately, they could not finish.
Gradually, our legs stopped, and there was a strong presence in front of the Kitakyushu goal, allowing them to score the opening goal, resulting in a disappointing outcome.
