[Player/Coach Comments]
"Masayuki YAMADA"
"I was able to play while having fun today."
Defeat in the Levain Iwata match was my fault. But because of that experience, I was able to play calmly today.
(Although they also showed side changes and long passes?)
When the whole team was getting tired and couldn't connect the ball, instead of easily clearing it, they were conscious of passing long passes to the opposite wing back without forcing it.
I thought that if I could avoid one when the opponent came in, it would be a chance.
I was asked for it, it was also my strength and I had confidence.
On the defensive side, I often had to face multiple opponents alone, and during the game, I received half advice and half guidance from GK Hayashi (bitter smile).
"Don't leave a space there, fill it in, it's okay to blur it" ... and so on.
I think it was good that I was able to communicate with those around me and make adjustments during the game.
There are still parts that are lacking, and I think I can do more myself.
"I want to look back on today's game calmly and strive to grow more."
Insoo YU
"All players had a strong desire to move forward."
I think the attitude of having a goal and fighting together as one showed in the play.
Personally, I had some concerns before going to Germany, but through the expedition, I felt a sense of accomplishment within myself and gained confidence.
I think the desire to take a position and play in the league also led to an appeal in today's match.
Especially in today's position, speed and awareness in attack, and the ability to finish were required. I was also conscious of taking shots myself.
As a team, there were times when the build-up didn't go well, but the quick transitions and overall speed were not a problem.
I think it would be good if today's game leads to the next one.
"Press Conference Summary by Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA"
"It was good to be able to win the playoffs, which was our ultimate goal. The players held on well. I think they competed with a sense of competition while also challenging new things. Of course, there were scenes where we gave the opponent an opening, were replaced, or had the ball taken away from us. Of course, I think the opponent's time will come, but it was good that we were able to prevent them from entering. I thought the way we defended when the opponent's shot hit the post still needs improvement, but overall, I think it was a decent result. Of course, if we can't score the second or third goal, we don't know what the situation will be like, so everyone needs to be more aware and train for the attacking part."
"Q&A"
What is the purpose of adopting a 3-back formation?
"One is to firmly press from the front. This was also the case with 4 backs, but it was aimed to make it more clear. The other is to use the ground more widely and aim for the center of the opponent, because there were many times when the defense line was knocked out in the build-up scene. However, not only the system but also the players are trying various things so that they can play with a sense of dynamism."
"Hiroshima - Manager Yoon Jong-Son's Press Conference Summary"
"Today, I think we had a close game. FC Tokyo was a well-organized team, but since we lost the first game 0-1, it was a game where we had to score points. As a result, we couldn't score a goal, but we were able to play a good game. In the first half, we had time to endure, but gradually we were able to play at our own pace and create good opportunities. Towards the end of the first half, we had a good attack from a counter. In the second half, we created the biggest chance, but unfortunately we couldn't score. Immediately after that, we lost the ball and allowed the opponent to score."
"Q&A"
Q=What was the most positive aspect you felt in today's game?
"We have been training to change various forms since last week, and the most positive element is that we were able to express it in the game. Some players played the plays they wanted to do. I think Takahashi, on the left side, did very well."
What was the intention of putting Chiba player in and placing Nogami player in the defensive midfield position while losing 0-1?
"I didn't want to take Nagami out because he was playing very well. So, I put in Chiba and moved him up to the midfield. I also wanted to see what kind of work he could do in the midfield. I wanted to create a few more opportunities for him to compete in the box."
Q=Is it tough situation, but do you feel the players are trying to overcome this?
"The players are training energetically and in good shape. I believe that building up good performances will improve the team in the future. The team is moving forward step by step, and unfortunately we were unable to advance to the next stage of the cup tournament, but we want to make good preparations for the next league match."
